***REVIEW*** Gabriel by Chris Lange

Gabriel by Chris Lange

Who can stop a master vampire from expanding his territory? Only one woman, born with a rare, invisible power, and hate for his kind deep in her blood. Now she has to face the master who has become a legend. His name is Gabriel.

I received a copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review. Here goes!

So Gabriel is a short book, but rather good. I'm hoping there is more to come of the story, and maybe a prequel too so we can know more about the story of his past that Gabriel told Calista.

Right, Calista is a human, who was born a Gelder. A Gelder is someone who can take away a Vampire's ability and need to feed on humans, but this must happen when they are.. you know... having the sex. Calista is asked to pay a visit to Gabriel. Gabriel is, in Calistas own words, 'the most vicious, powerful and ruthless bloodsucker who'd ever wielded hell on earth'. So you know, of course she goes to see him, and of course she strips naked at his command! What ensues is a relationship of huge trust between Gabriel and Calista, after he asks her to Geld another vampire for him. Later on in the book you find out why, and I think that would make an interesting story in itself.

I quite enjoyed this story, like I say a short read, but worth giving it a go if you like paranormal erotic stories.

***REVIEW*** Three Years (Gypsy Brothers 5) by Lili Saint Germain

Three Years ( Gypsy Brothers 5) by Lili Saint Germain

Every day for six years, I used to pray that I would find my way back to the boy I loved.

Until finally, one day, I did.

But that’s the funny thing about life. Nothing good ever lasts, not for me, anyway. You think you’re the one with the power, at least I did, but then I got careless. One tiny mistake, and now I am powerless to stop what comes next.

People think money equals power, but all the money in my bank account, the dirty notes laundered clean that my father left for me, are useless.

Money does not equal power. Power is held by the one with the knife in his hand, tracing shallow cuts into your skin.

Power is held by the one who owns you.

I had power once.

Now, I have nothing

WARNING!!! THERE WILL BE SPOILERS FROM BOOK 4, I WARN YOU NOW NOT TO READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY READ IT!!

I grabbed this book as soon as I got an email from Lili Saint Germain announcing the books release! Although I couldn't start it straight away as I had another review book on the go. But this morning I had to pick it up, and it was read in one sitting. I just can't get enough of this series!! Which is why I am pretty darn excited about the prequel trilogy 'Cartel' which is being released next year!

Ok, so Four Score ended with Dornan finding out about Juliette, and Three Years picks right up shortly after. I love the darkness of this story. It focuses on Juliette being held captive by Dornan, and pops out some damn good surprises throughout.

Of course there is a lot of darkness, especially in the torture she endures, but it was way more than I expected. Read the book and you'll find out! what I mean!! Old faces appear too. Who you ask? I won't say :)

Ms Saint Germain again manages to pull you in right from the first line of the book, and holds your attention extremely well to the end! I'm so excited for book 6, but it isn't out until September, so time better hurry itself on up!!!

The men of any species have needs…
Gemini Hudson has grown up, knowing the truth behind those words, but what happens when those needs pitch lovers against each other in a war torn galaxy?
Cirrion Warrior Zorran rescued a nine year old Gemini in a rare show of compassion. Twelve years later his slave has grown into a beautiful young woman which he feels inexorably drawn to. However, she is only human and too fragile for his dark desires.  Desires he is certain he can only share with one man—his Drakan lover Ornack.
With Drakan at war with Cirrion the men's relationship seems doomed to failure. Giving Gemini to Ornack will fulfil their emotional needs in a way Zorran can't.
From the minute he sees her, Lord Ornack knows this female is the one woman who can complete their circle, because she loves Zorran as much as he does.
There's only one solution. Claim both his mates and damn the consequences.
A Siren Erotic Romance

I received a copy of this book from the author inreturn for taking part in her book tour. Here is my honest review.

Now you all know I am a huge fan of Ms O'Connor, so when I was asked to join in on her book tour for her newest book, i jumped :) Doris' books have always been a special thing for me, as it was her stories that first led me into the erotic genre (well 50 Shades, but come on, you can't really compare that to the stories I read now :D).

Taken by Her Alien Warriors was brilliant. I really enjoyed it. The love felt between Gemini, Ornack and Zorran is amazing, they obviously all love each o ther a great deal, but is it too complicated for them all to be together? The way Doris played the story out was very well, and adding in little characters like Ornacks Son Magnus, and Magnus' 'nanny' Gerunda, was a good thing. I liked Gerunda, a very wise character.

Gemini was a sweet girl, I felt really bad for her at the start of the book. She was obviously falling for Zorran, and he obviously cared fr her too, especially for him to take her away to Ornack for her safety. But sh proves her strength late ron in the book, she isn't as quiet adn timid as she first seems.

Zorran and Ornack, what a pair. They love each other so much, and you see this when Zorran first takes Gemini to Ornack, the way they look at each other over Geminis head, and run off together for a 'quiet chat'.

All in all, Taken by Her Alien Warriors is a nice read, very sweet I thought. But you know, of course it has some wicked sex too :)

Ornack’s cock hardened in record time and his fangs dropped, seeing his wife impaled on Zorran. She threw him a worried glance over her shoulder, and he smiled to reassure her.
“Don’t stop on my account. I woke up and neither one of you was there. Gerunda said you two needed time, but fuck it all to hell and back, time is the one thing we do not have, so we make this work now or never.”
Zorran glared at him, but there was no mistaking the lust shining out of his black eyes, as Ornack fisted his cock. He hadn’t bothered with clothes, had simply staggered off the bed and gone in search of his mates. No one was going to stop him from claiming them both, not when Zorran could be snatched away at any given moment. They had wasted too much time already.
His side still hurt like a fucking bitch, and he wasn’t entirely sure he could stand up for much longer, but that minor detail wasn’t going to stop him.
“You best get your butt over here then, Drakan.” Zorran’s eyes glittered with emotion. Love, lust, worry were all there for him to see, and it gave Ornack the strength to get his legs to keep on moving. By the time he fell on the bed, Gemini had climbed off Zorran’s lap and she was running her hands all over Ornack’s side.
“You’re healed, already? Gerunda said you needed to sleep, would sleep for hours.”
Zorran laughed, and Ornack cupped her face and pulled her down for a kiss. She tasted familiar and different all rolled into one, like a delicious smorgasbord of his two favorite people.
A shudder went through her when he traced Zorran’s mating mark on the shoulder opposite to his mark.
“It’s been hours, girl.” Zorran said, and Gemini frowned.
“It hasn’t, has it? Did I fall asleep?”
She looked so utterly confused and adorable, and that happiness spread like a drug through Ornack’s veins and took the last semblances of pain away with it.
He grinned over her head at Zorran, pleased to see the Cirrion wearing a similarly goofy expression. Yes, he had been right about this. Zorran loved Gemini as much as he himself did, and with that knowledge came deep-seated determination to see Zorran’s name cleared. Ornack would use all of his considerable influence to keep their mate from the hangman’s noose—later. For now, he wanted to simply enjoy his lovers.
“Have you been wearing our girl out, Zorran?” he asked, and the bed shook with Zorran’s howl of laughter. He bent his head to claim Ornack’s lips in a bruising kiss that further confirmed his feelings, especially as he immediately grabbed a stunned looking Gemini and proceeded to kiss her senseless too. Her musk increased, and both men groaned at her instantaneous submission to them.
“Check how wet she is for us, Ornack, though I bet she’s soaked.” Zorran winked at him and Gemini whimpered when he cupped her sopping wet slit and ran his fingers through her labial lips. He lifted his glistening digits up for Zorran to see, and the other man grasped his wrist and proceeded to lick them clean with a wicked grin in Gemini’s direction. Her breathing grew heavy and her eyes seemed transfixed on the action. When Zorran released Ornack’s fingers with a satisfied grunt, he kissed her again, and picking her up guided her onto Ornack’s cock.
“It would be a shame to waste all that wetness and this will help you heal more. Besides, I want to fuck both of the people that I love tonight.”
Gemini sucked in a breath, and a big, fat tear splashed on Ornack’s chest. The sensation of her hot, wet heat closing around his dick was almost too much to bear, especially as Zorran chose that moment to fist his cock slowly. He knelt next to Ornack’s head and Gemini gasped when he slid his thick cock dripping with pre-cum into Ornack’s mouth.
“Fuck, that’s so hot.” Her whispered words skittered across Ornack’s chest, as she bent down and suckled one of Zorran’s heavy testicles into her mouth at the same time as Zorran fucked Ornack’s mouth. Zorran’s dick jumped and Ornack greedily swallowed the tiny spurts of his lover’s semen down. He too was close to coming again, as Gemini milked his cock with her internal muscles. Her hair cocooned all three of them in an intimate embrace, and her breasts rubbed against his chest, her nipples hard nubs of need, and he thrust up into the tight clasp of her body.
He fucked her cunt in time with Zorran fucking his mouth and both men grew still when she screamed her release into Ornack’s shoulder. Gemini collapsed on top of him, fighting for breath and Zorran pulled out of Ornacks mouth. Their gaze met over Gemini’s head, and Ornack nodded at the unspoken question in Zorran’s eyes.
“Little one, look at me.” Ornack lifted Gemini’s damp hair off her face and a wave of affection swamped him at the glazed and unfocused look in her eyes, as she struggled to listen to him.
“I want Zorran to fuck your ass whilst you ride my cock. That way we can both bite you and make you fly.”
“No, I can’t. I’m dead, you’ve killed me. Let me die in peace.”

Glutton for punishment would be a good description for Doris... at least that's what she hears on an almost daily basis when people find out that she has a brood of nine children, ranging from adult to toddler and lives happily in a far too small house, cluttered with children, pets, dust bunnies, and one very understanding and supportive husband. Domestic goddess she is not.
There is always something better to do after all, like working on the latest manuscript and trying not to scare the locals even more than usual by talking out loud to the voices in her head. Her characters tend to be pretty insistent to get their stories told, and you will find Doris burning the midnight oil on a regular basis. Only time to get any peace and quiet and besides, sleep is for wimps.
She likes to spin sensual, sassy, and sexy tales involving alpha heroes to die for, and heroines who give as good as they get. From contemporary to paranormal, BDSM to F/F, and Ménage, haunting love stories are guaranteed.

I received a copy of this book from the author n return for taking part in her book tour, and an honest review.

I really enjoy Kiru's books, and this one was no exception. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am looking forward to the next installment.

Keeping Secrets is literally about that, keeping secrets. We see a few secrets around in the story, Felix and Ebony both having their own, and a mystery going on in the background too in regards to phone call Ebony receives. We find out about all the secrets, but the mystery surrounding the phone call still remains somewhat secret, and hopefully will continue on in the next book.

I wasn't sure about Felix's character at first, certain things just got me, but then when you think about it, he has lost his memory, and can't remember his wife at all, so of course he will have issues trusting her. By the end of the book, I really liked Felix. And Ebony. Sweet girl, I really felt sorry for her when she talked about her family loss, you can tell her character is obviously a very loving family orientated lady.

Felix and Ebony's chemistry was amazing, Felix not being able to remember his wife at all, I thought would have put a massive downer on the book, but his insatiable lust for her was always there, and they had some good fun!!

Great book from Kiru, looking forward to number 2 in the series!

Top Ten Facts About The Main Characters

So many unanswered questions. They wouldn’t all be answered today.
“What are you doing here?” He’d ordered her to take the day off. So had his father.
“I know what you and Daddy said.” She looked away from him. “I met up with my friend for lunch and I enjoyed being pampered at the spa. But I’ve been here every day since you’ve been hospitalised and it felt strange not seeing you.”
“But the chair...you shouldn’t sleep in it.”
Shoulders rose and fell as she looked up at him through her long, dark lashes.
“When I arrived, you were asleep, so I decided to read. I didn’t realise I was so tired. I just drifted to sleep.” She bit her bottom lip, drawing his attention to it.
The need to kiss her overpowered him. On impulse, he settled a hand on her back, pulling her close. With the other, he lifted her chin and lowered his head to meet hers.
Muscles on her back tensed. He massaged her skin like he would a skittish horse before a game of polo. With gentle brushes, he swept his lips across hers. The sealed, luscious pair called him to mine their depths. Instead, he coaxed and stroked and traced them with his tongue from one end to the other, bidding his time.
He’d caught a glimpse of her banked passion yesterday when he asked about their wedding night. No matter what else went on, they desired each other. Mutual attraction.
With a low moan, she leaned in and opened for him.
As he slipped in, her sweet flavour exploded on his tongue. She tasted of peppermint and vanilla. In the recesses of his mind, the kiss registered. He’d done this before. Tasted her.
A groan rumbled within and he slid his hands around her waist and lifted her onto his lap so that she straddled him.
Whimpering, she rubbed against him, hips canting against hips, supple breasts crushed to his chest.
Needing intimate contact, he ran a palm over her side, skimming the swell of soft breasts down to the hem of her tunic. He lifted it, his hand making contact with smooth, warm skin. Another moan escaped her lips. He swallowed it, loving her sound and taste. Moving his hand up till it reached her breast, he caressed it through the lace of her bra, flicking the already taut nipple with his thumb.
In response, she ground against his bulge.
Sweet fuck!

***REVIEW*** Just What Kind of Mother Are You by Paula Daly

What if your best friend's child disappears? And it was all your fault.

This is exactly what happens to Lisa Kallisto, overwhelmed working mother of three, one freezing December in the English Lake District. She takes her eye off the ball for just a moment and her whole world descends into the stuff of nightmares. Because, not only is thirteen-year-old Lucinda missing, and not only is it all Lisa's fault, but she's the second teenage girl to disappear within this small tightknit community over two weeks. The first girl turned up stripped bare, dumped on a busy high street, after suffering from a terrifying ordeal.

Wracked with guilt over her mistake and after being publicly blamed by Lucinda's family, Lisa sets out to right the wrong. But as she begins peeling away the layers surrounding Lucinda's disappearance, Lisa learns that the small, posh, quiet town she lives in isn't what she thought it was, and her friends may not be who they appear, either.

I remember seeing a Goodreads friend add this to their list, and thought it looked quite interesting. I grabbed it on Kindle for £2 or so, and picked it up on Tuesday night. I think I read around 20% before falling asleep, then picked it up on Wednesday, and I must say I finished the rest of the book in one sitting!!! I could not put it down for even a minute.

The storyline grabbed me from the get go, I could never imagine losing a child, but this book was all about losing somebody else's child. Now can you imagine how you'd feel? You're looking after a friends child, but suddenly without you noticing, she's missing?  Now that is a good story to read.

I really liked Lisa, a mother of 3, works in an animal shelter, has a busy life. The guilt she felt when she realised Lucinda was supposed to be sleeping over and ended up missing, I thought the emotion jumped from the pages. The other characters were great too, I particularly liked Crazy Jackie and Joanne (the Detective), although I thought there was a lot of concentration on Joanne's breast problem, which in my opinion didn't need to be there, nothing to do with the story at all.

I liked the author note at the end. Paula Daly came up with the story for this book, after seeing a real story on Oprah about a lady who had a lot going on and forgot about her child she left in the car, sadly the child died. This lady received death threats, pretty nasty things were said. We all have a million things going on, and sometimes it is easy for things to slip your mind.
