Can you tell us a little about yourself?

Im the erotic/a writing alter-ego of published author, Rebecca Hart, a single parent of three, a reformed gaming addict, and a FT IT geek for the state of New York. I’m far too old to play softball, but still try to keep up every summer, despite the protests of my better half regarding the torture I am putting myself through. I also have a slight twitter addiciton.

What is the name of the book you are giving away?

Is the book part of a series or do you plan for it to be part of a series?

Blood and Fire is a standalone erotic horror piece featuring some paranormal elements. A Leap of Faith is the second part of my Roses and Thorns series with Evernight Publishing. The first story, Faith’s Gift was part of their Vanilla-Free Christmas anthology.

What made you come up with the idea for this story?

A Leap of Faith started with my search for an interesting BDSM oriented Christmas romance for the anthology Evernight was putting together. It started with just Faith, a down on her luck submissive who deserved a break. Enter Richard Halstead. Arguably, just what dear Faith needed in her life. But, I will let the readers decide on that one.

I received a copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review. 

This is the first of Ms Brennans stand alones I have read, I read her story in Vanilla Free Christmas, an Anthology published with Evernight Publishing. R's story in that anthology was my favourite in the whole book. And guess what? A Leap of Faith is about the same 2 people, Faith and Richard :)

I loved this book, and can honestly say I wish it had been longer!! I've always said, the BDSM lifestyle is not one I would take up personally, but I do enjoy reading about it, and this book was brilliant. I wasn't so sure on the whole, 'on your knees and eat out of the dog bowl' bit (well, I suppose at least it was steak and not dog food ;p), but the way Faith is around Richard is really good,. She is so excited when he texts her to meet him, and you can tell already that she is going to be completely happy with him.

If you enjoy this kind of book, I would recommend you read it!!!

Strong hands grabbed hold of her kneecaps, startling her. Richard jerked her legs apart until she knelt in an exposed V position. His voice arrived close to her ear, sending a chill through her. “When I ask you to kneel for me, this is how you are to do it. I want you to display your desire. Show your need with the pride of a submissive. Do you understand me, Faith?”
Her body ached for his touch. The brush of his hand, the caress of a breast. Anything. She’d even welcome the slap of his paddle if it meant he’d touch her again. “Yes, Sir.” Her voice was little more than a hoarse whisper.
“That’s my girl.” He slid a finger along her wet opening. Half a breath later, she heard his lips smack together, as if he’d just finished eating barbeque ribs. “Sweet nectar.” His hand returned to probe her slit. A finger entered her.
A gasp of pleasure tore from Faith’s throat, contorting into a whimper when he withdrew from her quivering pussy.

Sweet or savoury?

Sweet for sure. Well, unless it's bacon. I can't say no to bacon... No meat lover can say no to bacon!

Salad or sandwich?

Sandwich, usually. Though my diet could probably use a few more salads.

Macdonalds or Burger King?

McDonalds for me. But, sometimes I think that is just a matter of convenience, since there are two McD's close to my work and one BK (and that one is next door to one of the two McDonalds. I'm very practical in my junk food addiciton. :) Practicality always comes into it!

White meat or red meat?

Red meat (Damn, these questions make me look extremely unhealthy) Its ok! Red meat is the best :)

Entertainment

Bon Jovi or Guns n Roses?

Really, neither -- but if I had to pick, I think I would go with Guns and Roses.

Movie or book?

I like them both, really. But, I would prefer to read the book before the movie if both are available. Each has its place. I prefer the book before the movie too

Movies or TV shows?

I like my weekly shows. Until the season ends, that is. Then I'm a little grumpy I have to wait for more new episodes. Oh I know what you mean!!

Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings?

While I like Harry Potter quite a bit, I have to go with Lord of the Rings on this one.

Damon or Stefan Salvatore?

Hehe.. I don't know who either of them are. Am I missing something good? Yes you are indeed!

True Blood or Vampire Diaries?

I've not seen either of them, so I couldn't say.

Friends or Sex and the City?

Friends. Definitely.

Star Wars or Star Trek?

Star Trek for me. Live long and prosper :)
