Come and meet Jett Silver, star (and Dom) of H.C Brown's 'My Lover, My Dom' :)

Good morning Jett Silver :) Now sit your gorgeous ass down and let me get to quizzing you! (Im actually shaking a little!)

Tell us little bit about yourself first.

I’m a Dom and I manage rock groups, well mostly the big ones like Cold Heat currently topping the charts in five countries. I live the life; the rock and roll scene gives my Dom persona room to breathe.

I want to hear more about this club of yours ;)

Club Whips is a member’s only club- clean- oh yeah, we have VERY strict rules- but it’s not the high class set up of Club Floggers, although the guys from Floggers often drop by. Club Whips is for the raunchier connoisseur. It’s a place to get down and dirty. Where Doms can discipline subs in public in all states of undress if you get my meaning?

And I've heard your friend Brad is quite yummy?!

Yummy is an understatement. Hot, delicious, and insatiable would be enough for me but Brad is a millionaire, big, handsome and with an untouched body, any Dom would die to flog. He can run big business blindfold but can’t cope with his homophobic father. He thinks he can handle me but Brad is innocent and vanilla. He craves domination and I’m the man who will make him beg—frequently.

So come one, we said we'd do a little favourites quiz too is that right?

So lets get started with an easy one:

What's your favourite Dessert?
The taste of a man’s cock.

What's your favourite meal?
The taste of a man’s mouth

What's your favourite drink?
Bourbon

What's your favourite Movie?
Man of Steel

What's your favourite Song?
For Your Entertainment by Adam Lambert

What's your favourite book?
The Club Flogger’s Series by H.C. Brown

What's your favourite item of clothing?
A ball spreader . . . on my sub

Where's your favourite place to go on a date?
My dungeon at Club Whips.

What's your favourite memory?
So many, drop into Club Whips and I’ll share them with you

Thanks for dropping by and gracing us with your sexiness ;)

Brad Morrison is a sub pure and simple. He wants Jett Silver, manager of Cold Heat but their yearlong friendship is just that . . . friendship, until Brad’s arranged marriage of convenience ends.
Jett Silver has waited patiently for Brad to find himself. Being his gym buddy has been agony but now he plans to train this delectable pup and collar him. With Jett’s best friend Nash Mage and his sub Paul on hand to help, Brad’s life becomes a living fantasy.

Blog Tour, Author interview, and review; Kiru Taye's A Valentine Challenge!!!

Please tell us a little about yourself

Hi, everyone. My name is Kiru. I'm an author of multicultural romances, entrepreneur of a small run-from-home business, wife to a lovely man, mother to 3 beautiful kids, sister to 4 sometimes hilarious siblings, daughter to patient parents and hopefully friend to the lovely Dee as well as others.
Okay, I ran out of labels. LOL

How did you come up with the idea for your book?

Actually, the original idea came when I read a submission call for a Valentine anthology about 2 years ago. But when I started writing it didn't quite fit into the specifics so I decided to run with the story as a standalone.

When did the characters first pop into your head?

My characters tend to be quite visual and vocal when they want to be. The first to show up was Michael. In my mind, he was leaning against an SUV type car in the parking lot to a hotel. I started wondering what he was doing there and that's how the rest of the story developed.

Without giving away any spoilers, was the story always straight forward for you to write, or did it pop up any surprises along the way?

Well, you may not know this but I'm a pantser when it comes to writing stories. Planning totally stifles my creativity. I simply sit in front of my laptop with a blank page and type out the images I see in my head and what the characters say to each other.
So to answer your question, everything ends up being a surprise as I don't know what's going to happen until I type it.

Where do you like to write?

I like writing at the dining table in my kitchen, mostly. Otherwise, sometimes I have my laptop on my laps as I sit in my armchair in the bedroom.

Do you read a lot?

Yes! I love reading. I know some authors don't read when they are writing. I read every opportunity I get which isn't often enough sometimes.

Who are some of your favourite authors?

Tough one cause I'm discovering new authors I like every day.
If I have to think about authors that inspired me to write then Buchi Emecheta, a female Nigerian author inspired me as well as authors like Penny Jordan and Sandra Marton.

These days stories from Sylvia Day and Doris O'Connor among others, take my breath away sometimes.

And last but not least, have you any words of wisdom for aspiring writers out there?

I have four words for aspiring writers.
Read. Learn. Write. Revise.

Thank you for hosting me and my book on your blog today.

Challenge Series – Three friends. Three challenges.
Are they willing to risk everything for love?

Book 1 – A Valentine Challenge

Life is good for ex-soldier turned entrepreneur Michael Ede. Or so he thinks. When his friends set him a challenge to exorcise the memory of a woman from his past, he expects it to be a walk in the park.

Socialite Kasie Bosa is spitting fire at men. Her long-term boyfriend has asked for a break via text message of all things. Fuming, she’s told him to go take a dive off the nearest bridge. So the next man who crosses her path is at risk of being shredded with her spa manicured nails.

Bad news for Michael who has chosen her as the object of his challenge. But neither of them can deny the sizzling chemistry between them nor control their responses, it seems. It’s the season of love. Will they escape unscathed?

just for fun. I love the dance moves. Enjoy

This is my review from a while back of the old version of the book, I haven't gotten round to reading the new updated version yet.

I received a copy of this from the author in return for an honest review.

I read this over 2 days, and I really liked it!

I have to say (and apologise greatly to Ms Taye), this is the first of her books I have read! And it certainly won't be the last.

I loved the story behind this, it reminded me of a great movie I love, 'She's All That' starring Freddie Prinze Jr and Rachel Leigh Cook. Michael is out with friends at a club, when Kasie walks in. Michael being the gorgeous woman eater that he is, is challenged by his friends to prove he can 'get' her. Off starts the challenge of wooing Kasie, but the catch? Well, Michael who owns his own car company and more, (and is rather rich by the way), is not allowed to let Kasie know who he is. Therefore he sets off and becomes her driver while she's in town.

Kiru has written this really well, and the chemistry between the 2 characters is unmistakable right from the start. His gorgeous eyes piercing into her through the rear view mirror, her heart beat getting faster every time she sees him. So I was really excited to see what this story would bring for them.

Michael sounded absolutely delicious! And I can imagine Kasie to be a very attractive lady too.  I liked the back stories that popped up from time to time to, but I won't spoil things for you by telling!

I really enjoyed this story, and I'm eager to get onto book 2 in the Challenge series!

A Taste for Killing? HK Sterling sure has ;)

I have another guest :) Today HK Sterling is here to talk about A Taste for Killing (a book, not an actual taste for killing lol).

Mystery and Romance blend together when competing detectives Carolyn Woods and Jack Heart are both hired to solve the murder of Pete Wallace, only to realize they are working the same case. To complicate things, Carolyn and Jack have an on again-off again relationship. Then there is Evan Jones, a handsome architect— but he's also a suspect. Can Carolyn manage to solve the case as more and more murders pile up? Will her relationship with Jack hinder their investigations? And what about Evan Jones? He seems like the perfect man, but could he actually be the murderer? One thing is for sure: someone close to both Carolyn and Jack has A Taste For Killing.

Please tell us a little about yourself.
I write under two pen names, one for younger adult books and the other for the more steamier adult books. H.K. Sterling is my pen name for these books and my current book, "A Taste For Killing which is a mystery/thriller. A short bio would be:

How did you come up with the idea for your book?
I wanted to write a mystery/suspense book that also had romantic elements in it. My husband works in the construction industry so I decided to make that the main setting and it all just came together from there.

When did the characters first pop into your head?
The main character, Carolyn Woods is a detective and she came from a lot of my own experience when it comes to insecurities LOL; Especially when it comes to dealing with men. Her strength at detective work though came straight from my head.

Without giving away any spoilers, was the story always straight forward for you to write, or did it pop up any surprises along the way?
I am both a plotter and a pantser so I had the general plot and ideas but then threw things in along the way. When you are writing that happens a lot. Characters and stories take on a life of their own and sometimes you are just along for the ride!

Where do you like to write?
I have an office/library with a built in desk and floor to ceiling bookshelves. When my husband and I bought a house it was with the requirement that there would be a room he could make for me like this. It also has a wood stove. Its the ideal place to write. I could actually stay in here for days.

Do you read a lot?
Yes. I started young and read everything I could get my hands on. That has informed my life in many beneficial ways. I give credit to some great authors for helping to shape my mind.

Who are some of your favourite authors?
Harlan Ellison, Philip K. Dick, Robert Heinlein, Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, Jorge Borges, Arthur Rimbaud, Pablo Neruda, e.e. Cummings.

And last but not least, have you any words of wisdom for aspiring writers out there?
Learn the ins and outs of writing; there actually are things you should and shouldn't do. Then write, write, write, without censoring. Then when you finally edit, stay ruthless.

Excerpt
He had six-pack abs, and I wanted to feel the carbonation. This one dressed like the stereotype of a construction worker, down to the handkerchief he used to wipe sweat off his forehead. I don't know if he or the hot day brought it out, but sweat poured off of me too. He had no interest in me as a person, though. I was invading his territory. Still, I enjoyed the view. For my part, I knew my clothes looked crappy. I didn’t have to wear uniforms anymore, but my street clothes, well they were very—street. So there I stood, a turd in the sun in front of this Adonis. Oh well.
He pointed to a small trailer up a muddy hill. The supervisor I asked to see apparently stayed in there. Stayed, as in never left. Great. Mud. Now I'd be a dried turd in the sun. Adonis went back to digging and I started the trek up the hill. At least I came with boots. Steel toed.
Once I made it to the trailer, I heard an argument going on inside.
"Look, I don't care who you are. The plans are publically filed. Go get them yourself!" yelled someone.
Then I heard a voice I knew. Calm, cool, subversive. "Is there any reason you're being so difficult? A man did die on your watch."
An encounter I hadn’t planned on. Well, at least not until later tonight. I knocked loudly on the door and with my sweetest voice said, "Hello, boys. Am I interrupting something?"
"Great," groused the supervisor. "A party." He appeared to me like another stereotype, puffing on a cigar over a fat jowl line and rotund stomach that threatened to overturn the small desk he was behind. I guess there's a reason for stereotypes. He looked about four hamburgers away from a heart attack.
On a wooden chair in front of the supervisor sat Jack. A fellow independent detective, an ally at times, a competitor...and my on and off lover.
"Well, well, well," he said smiling, but I could tell he wasn’t happy to see me. Not here. It meant we were both working the same case. "Hello, Carolyn. Who hired you?"
"Parents."
"Girlfriend," he answered back.
We stared at each other. Complications.
The supervisor didn’t give a damn and said to me, "Well, missy, I'll tell you the same thing I told this guy." He jerked his thumb around to Jack. "The plans are publically filed and that’s all I have to say about it."
I tried a different tactic. "That’s fine with me. I have no problem going downtown for a copy." I wore my practiced, saccharine smile. "But I wonder, could you tell me the name of the architect? Please?" I smiled again. God, this job sucks at times.
The supervisor sighed. "Jones, Evan Jones."
"Thank you so much," I said, smiling my best smile again. "I'll get out of the way and leave you two boys to...whatever you were doing."
I opened the door to go and started to shut it only to find Jack following me out.
"Sure, flash your tits and get what you want." Boy was he in a bad mood.
"There was no tit flashing in there. Face it, testosterone was not a good choice in that situation."
Jack's response: a grunt.
"Besides," I tried to placate him, "I didn’t get the plans either."
"No, you did one better."
"That's assuming the architect will have anything to do with me and cooperate." A thought occurred to me. "So are you going there too?"
"No, I might as well wait and see what you turn up. Besides, I have my own leads."
"Are you planning to share?" Just call me hopeful. As in full of shit, because that’s where hope always seemed to lead.
"No," he said, still grumpy.
"I see. So it's gonna be like that."
"I guess so."
I felt like such a female. Damn. But I had to ask.
"Are we still on for tonight?"
"Yeah."
I wasn’t convinced but didn’t push it. God, sometimes I hated myself. But we were good together—when it was good—when his competitive edge didn’t get the better of him. Though I was one to talk. I did the same thing at times. Hence our on and off status. But currently we were supposed to be on. So, I kept it light in the spirit of things to come.
"Okay, master detective, I'll leave you to your leads. See ya."
"See ya," he replied, already preoccupied, pondering a piece of paper he'd taken from his pocket.
I made my way down the hill in my muddy boots.

Synopsis
I have lied.

I have cheated.

I have given my body and my life to the man who destroyed my family and left me for dead.

I have killed, I have sinned, and worst of all, I have enjoyed the misery of others.

I have licked the salty tears of a father mourning his firstborn son, and nothing has ever tasted so sweet.

I have died, and I have been resurrected, a phoenix from the ashes.

I know I’m going to hell. I’ll burn in the fiery pits alongside Dornan and his sons for the things I’ve done, and for the things I’m about to do.

But I don’t care. It will be worth every lick of the devils flames on my guilty flesh to destroy Dornan Ross.

One down, six to go.

Prologue
Some people would call me a whore. A girl who sold her soul to the devil. Who let him inside her, with no remorse. Who danced with the monster who destroyed everything.
To those people, I say only this: I didn’t have to sell Dornan Ross my soul. He already owned it. And once I’ve killed him, maybe I can get it back.

When I think about life before Juliette Portland supposedly died, I think of the midday sun, and the way it caught the water, making a million tiny diamonds glisten in the Venice Beach waves. I think of laughter and first kisses, of ice cream, stolen beer, and Ferris wheels.
I think of how much I loved Jason Ross, and how valiantly he fought to protect me when the rest of his family were beating and fucking me to within an inch of my life.
I think about my father, and how whenever he was near, I felt safe, no matter what.
I think about my mother, and how indifferent she was to my existence, to the point where my father was going to take me away from everything, including her, so that we could have a life free of the constant danger that a club like the Gypsy Brothers meant.
I think of how, if he had succeeded, what a wonderful life that would have been.
It’s true what they say—keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Only, they forgot to add: Don’t keep your enemies so close that they can strike without warning. That was my father’s mistake. That was our fatal undoing.

When I was planning my revenge, I vowed not to make the same mistakes he did. Allowing the enemy too close—Dornan was VP of the club, my father had been the President, but he had been quickly losing control as Dornan and his sons outnumbered him.

I vowed not to make the same mistakes my father did. But here, now, laying pinned beneath Dornan as he fills me with his rage and grief, his eldest son dead by my hand and the funeral in just a few hours, I have to wonder if I’m heading down the exact path that led to our destruction all those years ago.

Under the Shadow of Wings – H.K. Sterling

Now, now, remember not to play with your food.

Valentines Day is approaching! Giveaway!!!

Hello fellow friends :D

Valentines Day 2014 is tomorrow, so I thought I'd do a post today about that four letter word, LOVE. And I'm doing a UK ONLY giveaway too, just follow the Rafflecopter at the end.

So how did you meet your other half? Everyone knows our story, they all know I stalked him a little lol! Not in a proper 'I need to call the police' way!!! Lets see:

We both worked in the same shopping centre, me in a cookie shop, him in a phone store. I remember going into the phone store after work one night to get a phone. There was only me, my mother and the guy serving me, in the shop. Then my OH just appeared front he stock room, said hello, and went over to put some music on. I asked him to put something good on, and on came Queen's 'Don't Stop Me Now'. Then off he went back to the stockroom. I remember my exact words to my mother were, 'I have to have him'. She laughed and asked if I meant I'd like to go on a date with him. My response? 'Nope, I HAVE to have him'!!

We chatted a few times while on breaks from work etc (I tried to time my breaks so we'd bump into each other lol!), and on my shopping days I'd pop in to say hello. Then one day, he asked why I kept going into his shop, there just have been someone I liked? All I said was, 'figure it out'. And then being too chicken, I got my friend to drop him a note saying 'figured it out yet', and gave him my phone number.

Our first date was to the cinema to see a horror movie, we went for a couple of drinks first, then seen the movie, or didn't see much of it!! This was 8 and a half years ago now, and we're gong stronger than ever. He is my other half without a doubt, and I know without him I wouldn't be complete. Everytime I hear 'Don't Stop Me Now', it takes me back to that day, when we didn't know each other, and how I was smitten from that first smile.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Synopsis
Kidnapped. Taken to a private island. I never thought this could happen to me. I never imagined one chance meeting on the eve of my eighteenth birthday could change my life so completely. Now I belong to him. To Julian. To a man who is as ruthless as he is beautiful – a man whose touch makes me burn. A man whose tenderness I find more devastating than his cruelty. My captor is an enigma. I don’t know who he is or why he took me. There is a darkness inside him – a darkness that scares me even as it draws me in. My name is Nora Leston, and this is my story. WARNING: This is NOT a traditional romance. It contains disturbing subject matter, including themes of questionable consent and Stockholm Syndrome, as well as graphic sexual content. This is a work of fiction intended for a mature, 18+ audience only. The author neither endorses nor condones this type of behavior.

Excerpt
It’s evening now. With every minute that passes, I’m starting to get more and more anxious at the thought of seeing my captor again. The novel that I’ve been reading can no longer hold my interest. I put it down and walk in circles around the room. I am dressed in the clothes Beth had given me earlier. It’s not what I would’ve chosen to wear, but it’s better than a bathrobe. A sexy pair of white lacy panties and a matching bra for underwear. A pretty blue sundress that buttons in the front. Everything fits me suspiciously well. Has he been stalking me for a while? Learning everything about me, including my clothing size? The thought makes me sick. I am trying not to think about what’s to come, but it’s impossible. I don’t know why I’m so sure he’ll come to me tonight. It’s possible he has an entire harem of women stashed away on this island, and he visits each one only once a week, like sultans used to do. Yet somehow I know he’ll be here soon. Last night had simply whetted his appetite. I know he’s not done with me, not by a long shot.  Finally, the door opens. He walks in like he owns the place. Which, of course, he does.  I am again struck by his masculine beauty. He could’ve been a model or a movie star, with a face like his. If there was any fairness in the world, he would’ve been short or had some other imperfection to offset that face.  But he doesn’t. His body is tall and muscular, perfectly proportioned. I remember what it feels like to have him inside me, and I feel an unwelcome jolt of arousal. He’s again wearing jeans and a T-shirt. A grey one this time. He seems to favor simple clothing, and he’s smart to do so. His looks don’t need any enhancement.  He smiles at me. It’s his fallen angel smile—dark and seductive at the same time. “Hello, Nora.” I don’t know what to say to him, so I blurt out the first thing that pops into my head. “How long are you going to keep me here?” He cocks his head slightly to the side. “Here in the room? Or on the island?” “Both.” “Beth will show you around tomorrow, take you swimming, if you’d like,” he says, approaching me. “You won’t be locked in, unless you do something foolish.” “Such as?” I ask, my heart pounding in my chest as he stops next to me and lifts his hand to stroke my hair. “Trying to harm Beth or yourself.” His voice is soft, his gaze hypnotic as he looks down on me. The way he’s touching my hair is oddly relaxing. I blink, trying to break his spell. “And what about on the island? How long will you keep me here?” His hand caresses my face now, curves around my cheek. I catch myself leaning into his touch, like a cat getting petted, and I immediately stiffen. His lips curve into a knowing smile. The bastard knows the effect he has on me. “A long time, I hope,” he says. For some reason, I’m not surprised. He wouldn’t have bothered bringing me all the way here if he just wanted to fuck me a few times. I’m terrified, but I’m not surprised. I gather my courage and ask the next logical question. “Why did you kidnap me?” The smile leaves his face. He doesn’t answer, just looks at me with an inscrutable blue gaze. I begin to shake. “Are you going to kill me?”  “No, Nora, I won’t kill you.” His denial reassures me, although he could obviously be lying. “Are you going to sell me?” I can barely get the words out. “Like to be a prostitute or something?” “No,” he says softly. “Never. You’re mine and mine alone.”  I feel a tiny bit calmer, but there is one more thing I have to know. “Are you going to hurt me?” For a moment, he doesn’t answer again. Something dark briefly flashes in his eyes. “Probably,” he says quietly.  And then he leans down and kisses me, his warm lips soft and gentle on mine.  For a second, I stand there frozen, unresponsive. I believe him. I know he’s telling the truth when he says he’ll hurt me. There’s something in him that scares me—that has scared me from the very beginning.  He’s nothing like the boys I’ve gone on dates with. He’s capable of anything.  And I’m completely at his mercy. I think about trying to fight him again. That would be the normal thing to do in my situation. The brave thing to do. And yet I don’t do it. I can feel the darkness inside him. There’s something wrong with him. His outer beauty hides something monstrous underneath. I don’t want to unleash that darkness. I don’t know what will happen if I do. So I stand still in his embrace and let him kiss me. And when he picks me up again and takes me to bed, I don’t try to resist in any way. Instead, I close my eyes and give in to the sensations.
