I received a copy of this book from the author n return for taking part in her book tour, and an honest review.

I really enjoy Kiru's books, and this one was no exception. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am looking forward to the next installment.

Keeping Secrets is literally about that, keeping secrets. We see a few secrets around in the story, Felix and Ebony both having their own, and a mystery going on in the background too in regards to phone call Ebony receives. We find out about all the secrets, but the mystery surrounding the phone call still remains somewhat secret, and hopefully will continue on in the next book.

I wasn't sure about Felix's character at first, certain things just got me, but then when you think about it, he has lost his memory, and can't remember his wife at all, so of course he will have issues trusting her. By the end of the book, I really liked Felix. And Ebony. Sweet girl, I really felt sorry for her when she talked about her family loss, you can tell her character is obviously a very loving family orientated lady.

Felix and Ebony's chemistry was amazing, Felix not being able to remember his wife at all, I thought would have put a massive downer on the book, but his insatiable lust for her was always there, and they had some good fun!!

Great book from Kiru, looking forward to number 2 in the series!

Top Ten Facts About The Main Characters

So many unanswered questions. They wouldn’t all be answered today.
“What are you doing here?” He’d ordered her to take the day off. So had his father.
“I know what you and Daddy said.” She looked away from him. “I met up with my friend for lunch and I enjoyed being pampered at the spa. But I’ve been here every day since you’ve been hospitalised and it felt strange not seeing you.”
“But the chair...you shouldn’t sleep in it.”
Shoulders rose and fell as she looked up at him through her long, dark lashes.
“When I arrived, you were asleep, so I decided to read. I didn’t realise I was so tired. I just drifted to sleep.” She bit her bottom lip, drawing his attention to it.
The need to kiss her overpowered him. On impulse, he settled a hand on her back, pulling her close. With the other, he lifted her chin and lowered his head to meet hers.
Muscles on her back tensed. He massaged her skin like he would a skittish horse before a game of polo. With gentle brushes, he swept his lips across hers. The sealed, luscious pair called him to mine their depths. Instead, he coaxed and stroked and traced them with his tongue from one end to the other, bidding his time.
He’d caught a glimpse of her banked passion yesterday when he asked about their wedding night. No matter what else went on, they desired each other. Mutual attraction.
With a low moan, she leaned in and opened for him.
As he slipped in, her sweet flavour exploded on his tongue. She tasted of peppermint and vanilla. In the recesses of his mind, the kiss registered. He’d done this before. Tasted her.
A groan rumbled within and he slid his hands around her waist and lifted her onto his lap so that she straddled him.
Whimpering, she rubbed against him, hips canting against hips, supple breasts crushed to his chest.
Needing intimate contact, he ran a palm over her side, skimming the swell of soft breasts down to the hem of her tunic. He lifted it, his hand making contact with smooth, warm skin. Another moan escaped her lips. He swallowed it, loving her sound and taste. Moving his hand up till it reached her breast, he caressed it through the lace of her bra, flicking the already taut nipple with his thumb.
In response, she ground against his bulge.
Sweet fuck!

***REVIEW*** Just What Kind of Mother Are You by Paula Daly

What if your best friend's child disappears? And it was all your fault.

This is exactly what happens to Lisa Kallisto, overwhelmed working mother of three, one freezing December in the English Lake District. She takes her eye off the ball for just a moment and her whole world descends into the stuff of nightmares. Because, not only is thirteen-year-old Lucinda missing, and not only is it all Lisa's fault, but she's the second teenage girl to disappear within this small tightknit community over two weeks. The first girl turned up stripped bare, dumped on a busy high street, after suffering from a terrifying ordeal.

Wracked with guilt over her mistake and after being publicly blamed by Lucinda's family, Lisa sets out to right the wrong. But as she begins peeling away the layers surrounding Lucinda's disappearance, Lisa learns that the small, posh, quiet town she lives in isn't what she thought it was, and her friends may not be who they appear, either.

I remember seeing a Goodreads friend add this to their list, and thought it looked quite interesting. I grabbed it on Kindle for £2 or so, and picked it up on Tuesday night. I think I read around 20% before falling asleep, then picked it up on Wednesday, and I must say I finished the rest of the book in one sitting!!! I could not put it down for even a minute.

The storyline grabbed me from the get go, I could never imagine losing a child, but this book was all about losing somebody else's child. Now can you imagine how you'd feel? You're looking after a friends child, but suddenly without you noticing, she's missing?  Now that is a good story to read.

I really liked Lisa, a mother of 3, works in an animal shelter, has a busy life. The guilt she felt when she realised Lucinda was supposed to be sleeping over and ended up missing, I thought the emotion jumped from the pages. The other characters were great too, I particularly liked Crazy Jackie and Joanne (the Detective), although I thought there was a lot of concentration on Joanne's breast problem, which in my opinion didn't need to be there, nothing to do with the story at all.

I liked the author note at the end. Paula Daly came up with the story for this book, after seeing a real story on Oprah about a lady who had a lot going on and forgot about her child she left in the car, sadly the child died. This lady received death threats, pretty nasty things were said. We all have a million things going on, and sometimes it is easy for things to slip your mind.

REVIEW

I received a copy of this book from the author in return for signing up to her book tour. And in return for an honest review of course :)

Night Fury is a short Novella, the first in the Night Fury Series. It didn't take me long to zoom my way through it. I was pulled in massively. After reading Belle Aurora's RAW a while back and aboslutly falling in lvoe with it, I was pretty excited to see that she had another book ciming out (although still a dark book, it has nothing to do with RAW), therefore I was eager to get my mits into it.

Night Fury is different from nything I've ever read before. Caterina (or Cat), is the main character in the story. Cat lives in a convent, with Father Bob, who has pretty much raised Cat since she was orphaned as a baby. There are others there, nuns too, but nobody see's what goes on behind the doors, and behind the masks of the nuns and father Bob.

There is love, and of course some brilliant sex, happiness, and of course some tears. What  a great start to a series, looking forward to the second installment.

Teaser
"I trail her down the dark, dimly-lit hall. The sounds of our footsteps echo through the narrow space. I’m walking towards my destiny. How poetic. We reach the end of the hall. Frankie clicks in her keypad code. More humming and buzzing, the steel door clicks opens and finally – finally – I’m home. I take the first step towards the rest of my life. And I do it wearing a shit-eating grin. This is exciting. I’m excited. My life will be thrown one-hundred-and-eighty degrees. From boring to extraordinary. I can’t wait. “Welcome back to Mirage.” Frankie utters as she starts her descent down the stairs to the ground floor." - Catarina, Night Fury

***REVIEW*** Four Score (Gypsy Brothers 4) by Lili Saint Germain

Love and hate aren’t all that different.

Two sides of the same coin, the yin and the yang.

Once upon a time, Jason Ross loved me. And now that he knows what I’ve done, I see the love and the hate warring within him.

I see the way he looks at me.

The way he wonders how I could do the things I’ve done.

I hear it in the way he begs me to stop, to leave this life and run away with him.

But there’s only one way I’m leaving LA.

And that’ll be when Dornan and the rest of his sons are dead and buried.

Jase might forgive me for what I’ve done.

But will he forgive me for the crimes I’m yet to commit?

THERE MAY BE SPOILERS FROM FOUR SCORE IN THIS REVIEW, AND WILL PROBABLY  BE SPOILERS FROM THE PREVIOUS 3 BOOKS.  SO IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THEM, LOOK AWAY NOW!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!

I bought this the moment it was released as the first 3 books had me totally on edge! I picked it up yesterday and didn't put it down until I was finished! Lili Saint Germain really knows how to write some pretty dark books, and she knows just how to keep your attention by leaving the books on a  great cliffhanger!

Four Score picks up right where Five Miles left off, with Jase telling Sammi he knows who she really is, Juliette. The bombs have blasted, and yet Dornan survived, but is in a coma. Bloody hell! It was a crazy ending to book 3, and book 4 is no exception. In Four Score we see what happens between Jase and Juliette now that Jase knows her secret, and where does Elliot fit in? To be honest I want Jase and Juliette together, he was her first love, she was his. They are meant to be together.

I freaking love Juliette, she is such a feisty girl, knows what she wants, and exactly how to get it.

Book 4 seemed a little tamer than the previous ones, in regards to Juliettes plan, but this one gives a  little more depth into Juliettes past, and Jase's too. The ending is left on another major cliffhanger, leaving me so frustrated and needing more!!!

A brilliant read, and now I am desperate to read the next, which I have been told will be out at the end of July! TOO LONG A WAIT!!!!!!!

BLURB
Ghanaian nurse Aurora ‘Ora’ Aikins never expected to find the love of her life while on vacation in South Africa. Engaged to another and believing that love has no place in her life, she returns to Ghana, and puts duty and honor first.

Three years later, Dr. Jason Lartey still can’t get Ora out of his mind or his heart. After learning she never married, he takes a risk and moves to Ghana hoping to rekindle what they started. His sudden appearance in Ora’s Emergency Department sends sparks flying all over again.

They’re in the same country, working in the same hospital, and together but distance creeps between them. Can they make their destined love one for the ages?

The pain pulsing through Aurora ‘Ora’ Aikins’ injured wrist transitioned into a delicious, unfamiliar tingle when Dr. Lartey touched it.

“It’s just my luck to come on vacation and get hurt,” she huffed in frustration as she forced herself to not sigh at the pleasure his gentle probing touch evoked.

“You were very lucky. The x-ray shows your wrist isn’t broken, but you sustained a very bad sprain so you have to be careful with it,” he said, sounding all business-like.

Each time he touched her wrist, her stomach twisted and her awareness of him as a man, with the need to get to know him better, intensified.

These sensations unnerved her but the gorgeous man she had the privilege of calling her doctor seemed unaffected.

His confident stride had drawn her attention when he’d entered the consulting room. His spicy, with a citrusy undertone, cologne filled the sterile hospital air, making her nostrils flare to take in more of his unique scent. Deep brown eyes had perused her chart as she’d taken in his short-cropped hair, high cheekbones, and thick lips that brought kissing into her mind. Dark smooth skin rivalled the richness of high quality chocolate.

Ora scanned the emergency room cubicle, which had become smaller with the doctor’s broad-shouldered, towering stature, for cameras. Could she be on a reality TV show? Starring in one had never been a life objective, but the crew might have caught her unaware. No visible cameras, but those producers were sneaky and could place one inside a stethoscope.

I received a copy of this book for taking part in the books blog tour, and in return for an honest review.

I started on this a little while back and ended up stopping reading for a couple of weeks, I don't know why but I just couldn't get into it. But.... after picking it up again I couldn't seem to put it down! I really got into it and was desperate to read the ending.

This is a sweet romance book, a little different to the erotic novels I usually read, but I really enjoyed it. It is set in Ghana and revolves around a nurse Aurora (Ora) and an ER doctor she meets while on holiday in South Africa. Ora is engaged but feels herself falling for this doctor, so when she returns home she doesn't contact him again. Fast forward 3 years later and Dr Jason surprises her but turning up as the new doctor in her ER.

The chemistry between Jason and Ora is huge, anyone can feel it, but I felt like Nana totally nailed Ora's feelings when Jason appears in the ER. These 2 were obviously made for each other, but readers don't actually know whether they will end up together until almost the end of the book.
I liked Esi (Ora's cousin) as a side character, I would actually like to see her with her own story, she seems a feisty little thing lol. Ora is a fantastic lady, and the way Nana portrayed her just goes to show that you might think you know what's going on in your life and why, but sometimes you need a shove in the right direction to really see what's going on.

Good book, I'd recommend it.

Author Interview and book Excerpt with Faye Hall and She's Alot Like You!

Willow Jameson knew nothing of her family’s past or their connection to the Morgan family when she first met Re Morgan.  All she seen was his ruggedly handsome appearance, his gentle words luring her into his strong embrace.  What she found was a passion beyond compare.
She couldn’t have foreseen the lies and family betrayal that would inevitably rob her of the man she loved and forever change her life.
TEN YEARS LATER
Willow returned to the town life she loved so much, no longer ignorant to those who had separated her from the man she’d loved.  She was back now to make those responsible pay for all they’d taken from her.  In her search what she found was the hardened man Re Morgan had become…
…a man whose mere glance reignited a passion she had thought long since forgotten.
Re Morgan had left a horde of jilted lovers in his trail.  When he seen Willow again across the crowded dancehall, he wanted nothing more than to add her to this list.  Re wanted little more than a short, heated affair.
What he became involved in was far more scandalous than he could have ever imagined.

EXCERPT

Willow stood with her back to Re, never able to see his approach.  She didn’t even see the look of horror on his face...nor did he see the gleam of tears on her cheeks.  All he saw was her being held in Chris’s arms, her body only a breath away from his.  It was a closeness he knew was far from accepted in polite society.
It was a closeness he shared with her...had thought to only share with her.
Looking to his friend, Re silently pleaded with him.  He needed to hear him say it was all just a misunderstanding.  He needed him to put at ease the quickly growing doubt in his heart.
But he didn’t hear any of this.  All he saw was the obvious lust gleaming in the young man’s eyes.
Chris cocked his brow, as if it was obvious their reason for being together.  When Re looked at him, begging to know the truth, Chris’s smile turned into an obvious sneer.
Slowly, he shrugged his shoulders.
How could I refuse?” he muttered, his words almost a whisper.
Hearing this short statement through her distress, Willow knew someone had found them.  Raising her tear-covered face from Chris’s shoulder she tried to free herself from his unrelenting grasp.  Realising her struggles were useless, she turned in his arms to see who had approached them.  Only too late did she realise just how suggestive her position would look.
Her eyes’ meeting the hurt and pain in Re’s eyes, Willow knew instantly what he was concluding of what he was seeing.
Re,” she whispered, almost desperate.
His dark stare turned hateful.
Damn you both to hell!” he spat at them, immediately turning back to make a quick return to the estate house.
Re,’ she again called after him, struggling against Chris’s tight hold.
When Chris didn’t let her go despite her struggles, she turned slightly and pushed him away with all her might.
You son of a bitch,’ she spat at him, suddenly realising this man’s intentions.
I may be, madam,” he replied casually.  “Yet even you can’t deny what you wanted when you lured me out here.”
Her dark eyes narrowed with hate.
I hope you rot in hell, you bastard!”
Turning quickly, Willow ran after Re’s retreating figure.  She knew what he must be thinking, but he had to know she played no willing part in it.  He had to know the truth.
Willow,” Chris called after her, slight anger in his tone.  “Damn it, you know you want this as much as I do.”
But she never turned back to him.  She only kept chasing the retreating figure of the man she loved.

 AUTHOR BIO

Faye Hall's passion driven, mystery filled books are set in small townships of North Queensland, Australia during the late 1800's.

Each of her novels bring something symbolically Australian to her readers, from Aboriginal herbal remedies, to certain gemstones naturally only found in this part of the world.

Each of her books tell of a passionate connection between the hero and heroine, surrounded and threatened by deceit, scandal, theft and sometimes even murder.

These romances swerve from the traditional romances as Faye aims to give her readers so much more intrigue, whilst also revealing the hidden histories of rural townships of North Queensland.

Faye finds her inspiration from the histories of not only the township she grew up in, but the many surrounding it. She also bases most of her characters on people she has met in her life.

Faye was able to live her own passion driven romance, marrying the love of her life after a whirlwind romance in 2013. Together they are raising their 9 children in a remote country town in northern Queensland, Australia.
