You like Alphas? Come check out Jorja Lovett talking about Alpha's Claim Anthology!

Alpha's Claim Anthology
Blurb:
Strength. Power. Domination.
The shifters in our Alpha's Claim anthology have one thing in common—they won't take “no” for an answer. Whether they lead packs of their own, or whether they walk a solitary path, these alphas won't let anyone stop them from claiming their women.
Lose yourself in these ten sinfully delicious love stories. After all, who could deny an Alpha?

I can't resist Evernight Publishing's anthologies. Especially when they put out a call for yummy Alpha shifters. My story in the anthology is Extinction. Here's a little snippet…

Extinction
"You have nothing to be ashamed of." The look Lucas shot her pinged Holly's nipples into points against the flimsy fabric of her nightwear.
"You saw me naked?" Regardless of whether his tale was true or not, she hated that there was a possibility he had seen her at her most vulnerable.
"I think that makes us even, don't you?" He clutched the pillow closer to his groin. She'd have to remember to put the cover in the wash tomorrow.
"So, you've seen me in the nip, and I've seen you. It's been fun, but could you please fuck off now? It's been a long day." She wanted to crawl back into bed and pretend the past twenty-four hours had never happened.
"I didn't realize losing my father's funding would cause you such hardship. I'm sorry I upset you. That wasn't my intention." He had seen her tears after all. Bugger. That put her on the back foot.
"What did you think was going to happen? That we would put the flags out and celebrate our independence? As much as I detest saying it, we rely on your contribution to fund the project here." She had to set her weapon down so she could wipe away some more stupid tears.
"I'm still trying to get over the loss of my father. I guess I was trying to make it easier on myself by cutting a lot of ties to him. Listen, do you have something I can wear? It's impossible to have a serious conversation when I'm standing here with my balls in my hand." He peered at her from under lowered lids, sounding strangely vulnerable.
Maybe he wasn't such a cold hearted bastard after all. She knew she would go completely doolally if anything happened to her parents. That still didn't make it any more appropriate for him to be stark bollock naked in her bedroom. The sooner he covered up his six-pack and that happy trail of hair dipping from his navel, the quicker she could resume hating him. She grabbed her robe from behind the bedroom door and threw it at him.
"Thanks." He dropped the pillow to catch it in both hands.
Fuck a duck! Holly tried to avert her eyes, but she could still see his junk swinging about in
her peripheral vision as he dressed. "I think I'll go put the kettle on."

Book Blast: The Wolf on the Run by Jorja Lovett

The Wolf on the Run by Jorja Lovett
Book Two in the The Wild Irish Wolves series.

Short Blurb:
Alpha Rory is determined to protect his pack, including feisty Naomi. How can he get close when she's intent on facing her demons alone?

Long Blurb:
As a police officer and Alpha of the Olcan Hills' pack, being a protector is in Rory Blake's DNA.
When Naomi Duffy turned up heavily pregnant and alone, Rory's natural instinct was to look after her. However, her fierce need for independence over the years has ensured they've never been anything more than friends.
Naomi has spent too long trying to keep her daughter safe to jeopardise everything for a fling. But, when her past threatens to catch up with her, Rory is the only person she trusts with her life.
Thrown together, the couple finally succumb to their passion and it's all too easy to forget the danger lurking in the hills.
Do Rory and Naomi have a future together, or will secrets from the past tear them apart?

Excerpt:
Naomi came after Rory, pitting her stealthy grace against his sheer power. In his peripheral vision, he could see the wisps of her breath spiralling into the cold air as she forged ahead, determined to catch him. Rory snorted, sending his own white breath curling up into the atmosphere.
He led her over the hills, their claws making short work of carving up the cold, hard terrain. Naomi never lost ground. Even when he made a turn towards the woods on the boundary, she kept pace.
The chase awakened something deep inside him—that animal freedom with no responsibilities except the survival of himself and his pack. The spiky silhouettes of barren trees lined his path, like broad strokes of a black marker pen scratched against the silver sky.
He dodged in and out, never slowing, with Naomi always in pursuit. Occasionally, a pair of woodland eyes blinked at him from the darkness—a rabbit, a fox, observing their bizarre courtship.
Rory had no doubt the exhilaration of their illicit run would end in wild sex between him and Naomi. It was like a very enthusiastic bout of foreplay without actual touching.
They crunched through the leaf-littered forest floor until he tired of being the hunted. He looped back the way they came and stopped in a clearing. In all aspects of life he preferred to be the one doing the chasing, but at this moment in time he wanted nothing more than to be caught.
He shifted back into his naked, horny self. Naomi came to a skidding halt seconds later, scooting a bundle of leaves over his bare feet. “You can run, wolf lady, I'll give you that. Now can we go back to bed?”
She shifted back to stand beautifully naked before him. “Not until you say it.”
Say what?” He was hard as hell and ready for round two.
That I’m as good as you.” She gave him a flirty smile. One which said she was looking forward to the future rather than staring back at the past. The run had obviously done wonders for her too.
That was probably a fluke. I don’t think you could keep up with me on a normal day. You know, one where you haven’t seduced me on top of a car boot and made me carry you home first.” The play fighting wasn’t limited to their animal personas. Not when it proved such a turn on. Human or wolf, the scent of Naomi’s arousal would always draw him to her.
I didn’t hear you complaining at the time. But, if you’re tired, just say and we’ll call it a night.” She shrugged her shoulders, making her boobs jiggle enough to bring his erection to full strength once more.
He stepped forward and brushed her wild hair from her face. “I’ll never be too tired for you, Naomi. I’ll race you back. This time the winner stays on top.”
She grinned, eyes twinkling as bright as the stars. “You’re on.”
This was one race he intended to lose.

Harrington loves his new wife Penny. So much so that he puts his own desires for a more exciting sex life to one side. Their lovemaking may be vanilla, but it's all he needs, or so he thinks, until the suitcase breaks and he discovers her secret.
I received a copy of this anthology from one of the authors (Raven McAllan) in return for an honest review. Here is my review of each short story from this book.

THERE COULD BE SPOILERS IN ANY OF MY REVIEWS!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
The Knickers by Doris O'Connor ★★★★
I really enjoyed this story. When Mareijkes cleaner finds some frilly knickers and Mareijke knows they aren't hers, she's ready to rhumble with Stefano, and find out exactly whats gong on and who these knickers belong to. She gets one hell of a suprise when she finds him in bed with.... her knickers on? Stefanos secret is that he likes the feel of womens underwear, and feels he can't tell his wife this, therefore a dirty little secret is hidden. I liked this story, I liked the fact that Mareijke understood her husbands secret,a nd she actually found it quite sexy!

Behind the Mask by Raven McAllan ★★★★★
Now this one was great! My favourite one of all I think. At first I was like 'woah, she just up; and married the guy?!', but I loved the way this story panned out. Daisys friends hadn't even met her husband yet, but they hads dragged her out on a belated hen night. After  blindfolding ehr and tkaing her somewhere,a  stripper takes stage and dances for her. Daisy thinks she is imagining hunky husband everywhere, and soon realises she is! Alex is thr stripper, and she's the only one who knows this. She gives her friends quite a shock whe she wraps her legs around thie stripper and he takes her to a quiet room! She soon finds his secret is that he owns that club,a nd had to fill in for a stripper at the last minute, and when he found out it was for his wife, he knew he'd have some fun!

Bit on the Side by Jorja Lovett ★★★★
This one was a good story. Helen find her husband spending a lot of time on the computer, and when she finds a note in his poxcket with some rather provocative names, she assumes he's either having an affair, or he's obsessed with porn. She doesn't know what else to think seeing as he's suddenly turned very sexual after a long time. Buying her sexy PVC clothing? What is his secret? He's writing an erotic novel, those names were pen names he was trying to come up with! I loved the story behind this one, but I htink I knew from the start he was writing.

Domination Dreams by Michaela Rhua  ★★★★
Nicholas wants to be dominated by his wife, but he finds her so 'vanilla', that he thinks she would never go for it. So when he suprises her with a box of secrets one day, he gets one hell ofa  suprise when he comes home! His wife is in total Dom mode,a nd Nicholas gets his wish. I liked this one, the poor guy kept this secret for so long, and his wife would have totally gone for it anyway!

Anniversary Gift by Cherie Nicholls  ★★★★★
Oh man this one was hot! Cleo is sure Marie is cheating on her when she finds hotel reservations booked by her 'husband'. But once she gets there and catches Marie with a man, shes in for a suprise. Mare is teaching her office assistant to become a Sub, and in Dom mode, she orders Cleo to stay. It turns into quite a night for all 3 of them! I liked this one, I liked Cleos character too. I'd read more about these guys.

Sex Tape by Kiru Taye  ★★★★
At first I wasn't too sure about this one, especially when you find out that the sex tape is actually a secret tape Noni has filmed of her and her husband Juan Roberto. But... then I thought about it. Juan Roberto wasn't upset over the fact she secretly recorded them, he found it a real turn on that she was watching this. He was more happy that she hadn't been filming sex tapes with someone else while he was away! So yeah, I liked this one :)

Tassels by Alannah Harte ★★★
I couldn't get away with one of the characters in this one, Harrington. Even though I enjoyed the story, I just thought the way he reacted when he found the underwear and clothing in his wifes suitcase was a bit OTT.  I can understand someone feeling cheated etc when your other half has been hiding a secret like this, but to shout and demand her put the clothing on and dance for him, even when she asked him not ot make her do this, for me I didn't like that. But, she did anyway, and the atmosphere changed, I'm sure they'll have a happy marriage, just no more secrets!!!

OVERALL!!
I liked this anthology, but then again these guys know how to write don't they :D I gave this 4 stars in total.

20 This or That questions with.... Jorja Lovett!!

Hi guys! Welcome back!

Today Jorja Lovett is around answering my 20 qs, see what she has to say :)

Food
Sweet or savoury? Definitely sweet. Given the chance I'm pretty sure I could survive on chocolate alone. If I wasn't diabetic, I think I could too :)
Salad or sandwich? Sandwich. Salad is a side dish as far as I'm concerned lol
Macdonalds or Burger King? Hmm I prefer the taste of Burger King I think. Unfortunately for my waistline they've opened one just across the road. Thats torture!
White meat or red meat? I eat a lot of chicken but a well done steak is my idea of food heaven.

Entertainment
Bon Jovi or Guns n Roses? Bon Jovi. I prefer their songsand their lead singer is a lot prettier to look at. So much prettier :D
Movie or book? That's a toughie! I own as many DVDs as I do books. If I've read a book and it gets made into a movie, I usually prefer the book to be honest.
Movies or TV shows? Total TV addict!
Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings? Harry Potter. I never really got into the Lord of the Rings.
Damon or Stefan Salvatore? I started off as a Stefan fan (I don't go for bad boys) but I think Damon has overtaken him in my affections. Stefans too much of a softie for me!
True Blood or Vampire Diaries? True Blood! Where else do you get to see Joe Manganiello naked and growling? My idea of heaven!!
Friends or Sex and the City? As much as I loved Sex and the City, Carrie was a whiny bitch. So I'm going with Friends because it appeals to my sense of humour. How you doin'? ;) I'm doin' fine baby how you doin'! I love Friends too, and I love Joey!
Star Wars or Star Trek? I love the early Star Wars films but I'll go with Star Trek. I watched the old stuff and enjoyed it as much as the new films. Plus, I had a huge crush on Wil Wheaton in TNG.

Random
Dominance or submission? I'm a control freak so I have to say dominance.
Kisses or hugs? Can never get enough kisses!
Bath or shower? I prefer a bath if I ever get peace to have one. Preferably with a book and some choccies. Now I'm not a bath person, but that sounds like a nice peaceful time!
Call or text? I like a saucy text :O
Date night: stay in or go out? We don't go out very often, so when we do we make the most of it. I love having an excuse to get dressed up. Me too
Singing or dancing? Karaoke scares me to death so I'll go with dancing.
Vanilla or kink? A little bit of both :D
Cotton or satin? Slinky satin for me please.

Anything you'd like to add, or anything new you'd like to tell us about while you're here?

Thanks for having me. This was fun! My latest news is that the second book in my series, The Wild Irish Wolves, is coming soon. 'The Wolf on the Run' is the follow-up to 'The Wolf on the Hill' and will be released Oct/Nov.

Book one in The Wild Irish Wolves Series.
Can two stubborn wolf shifters let down their guards long enough to take a chance on love?
Lone wolf Caleb Jackson is only back in town long enough to sell his late father's house, and the bad memories with it. He never expected to find his mate.
Good girl Mia Blake never behaves badly. Except for the time she shifts into her wolf, chases a stranger through Olcan Hills, and has the hottest sex of her life on the forest floor.
He has no desire to settle down. She is afraid to upset her family. But, with someone determined to destroy Caleb's inheritance, and his secret fling with Mia getting hot and heavy, moving on isn't as easy as he'd hoped.
Can either of them let down their guards long enough to take a chance on love?

Excerpt *Warning: Contains Adult Only Content*
Rain soaked Mia’s fur as she bounded through the woods bordering the Olcan Hills, relishing every inch of earth mashed beneath her claws. Trees became nothing more than a blur as she raced by, running to find her release out here where she answered to no one but nature. This was freedom.
When she reached the top of the hill she came to a standstill and released her primal scream of frustration in a howl, unleashing everything she couldn’t say to her overbearing family, pouring every hidden truth of who she really was into one long mournful call.
In the distance, another wolf echoed her cry and answered with one of his own. This was the reason her mother despised her shifting into her wolf form. She went kind of crazy and forgot all sense of danger in the excitement. Exactly the reason why she did it in secret. And now, here she was, totally exposed in the Northern Irish countryside, crouched and listening out for the intruder’s approach.
Snapping twigs and rustling leaves marked his stealthy journey towards her but she stood her ground, regardless of how loudly her heart was beating in her ears. The wind carried his scent and raised the hackles along her spine when she sniffed the air. Another shifter, but one she didn’t recognise. Big bro would use her pelt for a rug if he found out she’d strayed beyond the boundary.
Amber eyes glowed in the dark shadows as the large grey wolf stalked through the forest. She bowed in submission. Even if she had a clue how to fight, he was double her size and twice as powerful. He growled a low warning and sniffed her with interest, his wet nose nudging her clammy fur. Did he expect her to roll over and show her belly? Pride wouldn’t let her, but she was careful not to make eye contact as he circled around her twice in case he took it as a challenge.
She only lifted her head when she saw him pad away, heading back to the cover of the trees. He stopped, looked back at her, and cocked his head to one side. When she didn’t move he returned and nipped her ear. She yelped in surprise and indignation. Of all the nerve!
The rules of engagement were abandoned in the heat of her outrage and, in a snarling frenzy, she launched herself at him. For an animal so large, the grey wolf moved gracefully, dodging her attack to race ahead and leaving Mia in dogged pursuit.
Tree branches tore at her skin as she ploughed heedlessly into the woodland, but the pain dulled in the exhilaration of the chase. As they wove their way through the undergrowth, Mia’s anger subsided to let her long-neglected sense of fun take over.
He wanted her to follow him. She knew that from the glances he kept throwing back at her. So she stopped and slipped quietly behind the stump of an uprooted oak, waiting to see what he would do. White wisps of steam escaped from her nostrils as she fought to get her breath back and suddenly the area seemed too quiet.
With a thud Grey leapt onto the tree stump, and leant back onto his haunches ready to pounce. Mia took off again and this time she was the hunted. She didn’t get very far before he sprang and knocked her off her feet.
In a tangle of limbs they rolled through the leafy debris of the forest floor, shifting into their human form as they came to rest, with her pinned to the ground by a hard, muscular, naked body.
"Well, that was fun." He grinned down at her, making no attempt to get off her, his green eyes full of mischief.
"If you say so." Mia’s heart still raced but she was at enough of a disadvantage wedged underneath him without admitting she enjoyed the capture as much as the chase.
"I didn’t hurt you, did I?" He bent his head to kiss the scratches marking her shoulder and suddenly the only ache she felt was hidden deep inside.
"No." She swallowed hard as he ventured closer to her already puckered nipples.
"Do you want me to stop?" His hot breath on her sensitive skin engulfed her in a tide of hormones she hadn’t been ruled by in a long time, if ever.
Maybe a piece of her wolf was still in her system, thriving on the excitement and danger, but she was horny, and ripe for the picking. "No."
With a need to touch, to taste this handsome stranger on her tongue, she manoeuvred enough room to free her hands and wind them into his dark blond hair, pulling him down into a kiss.
He massaged her breasts, first with his hand, quickly followed by his mouth. The sucking and licking around her straining pink tips made her arousal too great to bear. She writhed against him, wet and waiting, but he let her suffer further still whilst he covered her mounds in tiny, exquisite bites.
Bewitched by the woods and her fantasy lover, she swapped the dull reality of her life for this moment, cavorting like the sort of woodland nymph she longed to be. Someone who lived without fear of consequences or judgement.
She wanted him. Prim and proper Mia Blake, who never stepped out of line, was lying naked in the woods with a stranger’s erection pressing into her abdomen, and she loved it. A restlessness seized hold as her body cried out with need. Her limbs trembled, her fingers and toes curled, waiting for that final act of completion. As dusk settled around them and an ethereal fog swirled between the trees, she lost herself in the erotic dream and let him sink into her.

Wine And Nine by various authors

Wine and Nine by Raven McAllan, Doris O'Connor, Jorja Lovett, Alannah Harte, Cherie Nicholls, Arya Grey, Brenda Brakeway, Michaela Rhua and Ursula C. Williams.

Magic Mac and his Mystical tours, the brochure said. What it didn't tell the participants of this coach trip is that the quaint Scottish Inn they stopped at held a secret.
When you add women, wine, and men the outcome is never certain. Will it be happy ever after or is this just the beginning?
Find out in these nine scorching erotic short stories, guaranteed to raise a kilt or two!

Wow, what can I say about this book?! I've been totally engrossed in it this afternoon, I could have done with more!

Basically it's nine short tales about 8 women who go on a tour of Scotland, Mac being their tour guide. Each author wrote a story of one of the 8 women on the magical tour.

The stories fitted well, and I must say were scorching hot! I loved the twists in some of the stories, and the major one for me was in the last story, the story of Mac himself.

A great read. I'd definately recommend!
