*** REVIEW *** Zombies Anonymous by Shyla Colt

Zombies Anonymous by Shyla Colt

Hi, my name is Cezelia, and I’m a Zombie.

Laid low by an addiction to black magic, the ex-zombie once enslaved by a Hoodoo Priestess turns to Zombies Anonymous for help. The second she lays eyes on the tall, pale Traditional, her body comes back to life. After years of feeling nothing, she’s alive and insatiable. Can this inspiring man help her kick the habit for good?

Bitten more years ago than he cares to remember, Martine must keep a tight rein on his urges, his life reduced to a strict diet in order to do so.  Then Cezelia walks into the place he considers his sanctuary and reminds him he’s still very much a man. The passion between them could burn down a forest, and the hardest part about figuring out why is keeping their hands to themselves
long enough to do it.

I was recommended this from a friend, and I'm glad I picked it up. A nice short free read about 2 Zombies who fall hard for each other, at a Zombies Anonymous meeting. The automatic connection between Zelia and Martine was fantastic. I did gag a little thinking about 2 zombies, getting it on, rotten flesh and all. But I don't think these 2 characters were supposed to look like those Zombies in The Walking Dead! So it was all good :)

Nice little read, if you haven't read it already, you should!

***REVIEW*** The Librarians Love AND The wedding Night by Ava Delany

'The Librarians Love' and 'The Wedding Night' by Ava Delany

I read both of these short flirts one after the other. I read her fist in the series, 'The Soldiers Return' recently, and liked it that much I went right out and got the second and third books!

Who knew the Paleontology section of the stately library would prove to be so fun...

As a librarian, Erica's life is a bit predictable. But when an old boyfriend, Daniel, walks into her section at work, Erica's world becomes anything but routine. And a nearly extinct flame is rekindled in Paleontology.

This was a sexy short, about Erica and her old flame Daniel, who end up getting it on in the Paleontology section in the library. Very hot, very sexy. It did remind me of the episode of friends where Chandler and Monica do it in the paleontology section of the library, in front of Ross' book!

This wedding night will truly be a once in a lifetime experience.

When Debbie suggested that they wait until the wedding night to be physical again, Todd had reluctantly agreed. Now after two months of celibacy, he is hard and ready for the honeymoon to begin. He grumbles when she asks him to go get champagne, but he's not complaining when he returns to see what she has in store for their wedding night.

Another fab little short read. A sexy tale of a married couple on their wedding night, who have held off from sex and intimacy for the last 2 months, and when they get their hands on each other, boy does it get steamy :)

I'm definitely going to move onto Ava Delanys longer books now, after really enjoying the quick reads of her flirt series.

Excerpt:

As she lay in the tub that evening, relishing the golden candlelight and warm vanilla scent from the bubbles, Izzy turned over the newfound information in her mind. She was fascinated by the notion that she could enjoy a man so much more by knowing which buttons to push—predetermined buttons based on his star sign. She had never had much luck with men, but equipped with Jessica's astrological handbook for seduction, might she not learn to discover the real pleasures of romance?

Closing her eyes, she let her hand drift lazily through the water to her mound and teased the wet, dark hair gently with her fingers. She felt the familiar tingle in her skin as she woke the sleeping creature deep inside, and she arched her back involuntarily as the first wave of pleasure lurched through her. Opening her legs a little wider, she then slipped a finger into the crevice, moist with bubble bath and anticipation, and began to play.

Behind her closed eyes she watched a parade of male models, each one naked but for a fig leaf covering his modesty, engraved with his star sign. Starting with Aries, she made the men line up in front of her in her head, then gazed appreciatively as one by one they shed their leaves to reveal the astrological promise beneath. She got as far as Cancer, the fourth sign, before she came, her clitoris convulsing deliciously under the pressure of her finger.

Could it be genuine? she wondered as she allowed the warmth of the water to bring her round from her daydream. Was there anything more than sheer hokum to the concept of compatibility based on astrology? And if there was, what did it mean for her in her continuing search for the perfect partner, who had so far proved dramatically elusive?

About The Author:

***REVIEW*** Impulse by Raven McAllan

Impulse by Raven McAllan
Dylan has arrived at Isola Dei Sogni to help out—with reluctance and just as a favour. Then he meets Mia. If she's the person he's supposed to assist, then maybe the visit won't be the waste of time he thought after all. His attitude has changed, and when he hears Mia wants to give him his fantasy? Dylan is never one to disappoint a lady…he hopes.
However, fantasies and dreams are all well and good, but even here, reality creeps in. Can Mia and Dylan overcome that to reach their happily ever after?
I received a copy of this book from the publisher (Just Ink Press, LLC), and was bloody glad I did, what a great story!
I remember reading Doris O'Connors 'Awakening' ages ago (actually that may have been the first of Ms O'Connors books I read), and falling in love with the idea of an island like that. So when I heard Raven had wrote a story about an island where dreams and fantasies come true, I was so excited to read it!
This is the story of Mia, who goes along on a holiday to Isola Dei Sogni with her sister and friends. She doesn't really want a fantasy, but reads the pamphlet and becomes a little intrigued. She meets Dylan, who has been sent to help out for the week at the Island, as a favour to someone.
No spoilers from me here, but boy does this story grab your attention! I loved it. Dylan sounds like a very sexy guy, and one thing that got me very excited is...well... there is some growling going on (I love this type of thing!).
Great story from Raven, and I can't wait to see if she writes another in the series! :)

Ravens here with her new release 'Dance to a Different Beat'!

Well here I am again, I'm so glad Dee likes me. (At least I think she does, she let's me pop in and chat)
Of course I like you Raven :) Who doesn't! You're welcome to chat anytime!
So how about dancing? You know the old chat line…(well no you're probably too young but…)
"You dancin'?"
"You askin'?"
"I'm askin'."
"I'm dancin'."
Then you'd go off onto the dance floor and strut your stuff…
At The Dance Studio, Jane is about to dance to a different beat… if she dare… It's up to Sean …

Jane has a decision to make. Meet Sean and face her demons, or hide. Can she allow herself to let go enough to give this experienced Dom the submission he demands?
Jane has always made her own way in life, and the thought of giving up that control has scared her away once.
Sean is determined to show her that true submission is a joy, and not something to be feared. He is not prepared to lose her again.
As they face her fears, can they reach their full potential, or will those demons just prove too much to conquer?

So let me tease you…

As he watched under hooded eyelids Jane ran her hand over the back of a leather chair, and caressed the smooth shape as it swept in a dramatic curve and became the arm. Her fingers splayed out over the wooden covered strength. She'd always been tactile, and Sean could only wish her hands would touch him in the same erotic way. The thought of her mouth on his cock, or himself buried deep inside her pussy, had been the basis of more than one of his climaxes. He despaired of ever seeing if his fantasies lived up to the reality. She looked at him. "So this is vanilla?"
He nodded. Shit, I must seem like one of those stupid nodding dogs you win at the fair. "So?"
"Oh nothing really," Jane smirked. "But a chair like a giant clit isn't what I'd call vanilla."
He laughed. "You, my dear, are the other person to recognize that, let alone remark on it."
"Really? So what does everyone else see?" She sounded genuinely interested.
"Comfortable."
"What?" Jane sounded incredulous as she let him seat her at a small round table carefully screened from the wind, and prying eyes. "Nothing else? It's two-tone red leather, for goodness sake."
He shrugged and went to a side table where an array of fruit was set under muslin covers. "People only see what they want to see Jane. And hear what they want to hear." He handed her a bowl of fruit with everything Ryan had assured him she loved in it. "Don't you agree?"
"Hmm." She ate a spoon full of raspberries. As the deep red vied with the subtle hue of her lips Sean's cock reacted and hardened. Damn, if he didn't wish it was his prick that was being sucked into her mouth. "How d'you mean?" She swallowed and filled her spoon again. "This is good. If I'd known I was coming for breakfast, I'd have ditched the joggers and worn something tidier. So, you were saying?"
"That people have selective sight and hearing, and interpret things in their own way to suit themselves." He paused. Should he? Why not? It can't make things any worse.  "Take yourself for instance. Your friend wants to come to dance, you hear BDSM. Did you ever check with her to see what she'd been told? Nope, you just jumped to conclusions. Why? Have you been to see Ava and Ryan? No, not since she told you what had happened. You worry her and Ry, you know, but does it bother you? Evidently not, you just see them as threatening your safe sterile life and ignore them. And you set the whole thing up, and I could have sworn not five minutes ago you were really happy for them, but you haven't told them that. They both wonder what they've done to insult you. And us? You ran. You saw how well we meshed, and ran. No questions to me, no define what you mean, nothing. You just bottled. And now look at you? You look like a bag lady. Your glow has gone. When are you going to open your eyes and ears and see and hear what's going on? When are you going to give us a chance? Or are you going to let yourself be sucked into apathy and sterility? For fuck's sake remind yourself what you felt with me, tell yourself you deserve more. And bloody well talk."
He slammed his hands on the table so hard both the crockery and Jane jumped. Her spoon fell to the floor, followed by three slices of apple and a grape.

Raven lives in Scotland, along with her husband and their two cats—their children having flown the nest—surrounded by beautiful scenery, which inspires a lot of the settings in her books.
She is used to sharing her life with the occasional deer, red squirrel, and lost tourist, to say nothing of the scourge of Scotland—the midge.
A lover of reading, she appreciates the history inside a book, and the chance to peek into the lives of those from years ago. Raven admits that she enjoys the research for her books almost as much as the writing; so much so, that sometimes she realizes she's strayed way past the information she needs to know, and not a paragraph has been added to her WIP.
Her lovely long-suffering husband is learning to love the dust bunnies, work the Aga, and be on stand-by with a glass of wine.
