...You wished you hadn't read yet, just so you could read it for the first time again?
I have!
I was thinking about this the other day and I really wish I hadn't of already read 'The Road' by Cormac McCarthy.
This book for me, was amazing. The pure emotion that ran through me while reading this book (it was done in a day) was massive. I remember after reading the book, feeling so sad.The story is a very sad story, but amazing all the same. It's so powerful, that everyone who asks me about it, I tell them it is a book that will stay with them long after reading it.
I will re-read it soon, but I don't think it will give the same power as it does in the first read.
If you haven't already read it, get your hands on it and give it a go, I promise you will be overwhelmed by it. It's a fantastically written book, full of power, love and sadness.
I will have to check it out, Dee. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for looking Kiru, amazing book it is!
DeleteOooh I'm going to try to find it. Not really the same but I'm halfway through Cathy Glass' new book Please Don't Take My Baby. It's really good, it's a lot different to the others, it's not all doom and gloom, it's more about teaching a teen mum (who acts younger than her years) how to be a mum. I'm hooked but I keep putting it down and try to distract myself on the internet because I don't want to read it all in one go, I don't want to be over, I've got to wait until September for the next one xx
ReplyDeleteIts a fantastic read.
DeleteI haven't read any more cg yet, been too busy with review books from authors but looking forward to reading another :)
