As she talked, Sophia released
Jocelyn's hands and they came down. Her breathing became even and she nodded
toward the end.
“You have the final power,” Sophia
told her. “One word will end any encounter and you will be safe. You must trust
us, or we have nothing more to do here.”
Jocelyn nodded. “Yes, mistress.”
Sophia smiled. “You thought you had
moved past this, but it's still part of you. We'll make it an even stronger
part. It won't rule you, but it will guide you. It will show you where you
still let them have power and help you take it back.”
