***REVIEW*** After Realm by Renee Travis

Hellebella is not your average teenager. She is a demon princess from the underworld. She does, however, have teenager tendencies. She is outspoken, blunt, funny and rebellious. When a final act of rebellion sends her father into a rage, he sends her off to the North American School of Paranormal Princes-sing where he hopes she can learn to become a proper young lady and do something constructive with her life.

Not the only princess being sent away to the NASPP, Hellebella meets a lively bunch of girls from different paranormal kingdoms, including fairies, a vampire and shape-shifters. But not everything is light and happy at school. The girls find themselves entranced by a secret and mysterious club in another realm. There, they are forced to dance every night, and if they do not the consequences are dire.

Helle, as her new friends call her, must find a way to break them free of the spell holding them hostage, figure out WHO is behind the malicious magic and struggle with her own love for her best friend’s brother. Hopefully she can save them in time, before they become ghosts powerless to stop the magic from harming someone else.

I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review. Happy to oblige as always :)

This is a really good YA book. Not the kind of thing I've read before but I honestly really enjoyed it.
Its the story of 8 young girls, all different mythical creatures such as vampire, demon, werewolf, goblin etc. They are all sent to a boarding school by their parents, and what they encounter is nothing you would expect! Hellebella finds a key and accidentally finds its secret, a door behind a mirror to a new place,a  secret place, beautiful with trees flowers, and best of all.... music. The dance club pulls the girls to it, all the while something strange is going on in the real world.

I loved Helle, she seemed like a great character. I pictured her quite well from the description in the book. The fiery red skin, the horns, the black nails, everything. And I loved how caring she was. She felt strongly about Lilith, and looked after her just like a best friend would.

The other girls were great characters too.

But it was Rourke I liked just as much as Helle and Lilith :) At first I thought he was going to be a bit meh, but I actually really got on with him!

The dance club is another great thing in the story. Full of magic, mystery and music!

Nothing more from me about the story, don't want to give away too much.

You must read this book if you like YA. I'd thoroughly recommend!  :)

*** REVIEW*** Bunnies and Batteries by Angelina Rain

What's a girl to do when she has a sexy neighbor on her mind and a brand new vibrator in hand?

Grace Alderson is secretly in love with her neighbor, Clay Sawyer. She knows they don't have a future together, not after what she did to him almost a year ago. There was no way he would forgive her for something as awful as that! Still, it doesn't hurt to fantasize about his kisses and touches as she plays with her vibrator. When a strange sound wakes her from the orgasmic bliss, Grace realizes she's not alone. Clay is in her house… watching her. Can they get over the past and find their happiness together?

A free read by Angelina Rain, from Evernight Publishing. I love Angelinas work so couldn't wait to get my hands on this little beaut.

Now, even though this is short, I did enjoy it. I lay in bed this morning and read it all. The story is about Grace, who signs up to be a product reviewer, little does she know, when the box of goodies arrives at her door, it's not the stuff she had in mind! The box has 4 toys inside, sex toys. While Grace tests out the stuff she has been sent, things go from hot to hotter when Clay arrives ;)

I will leave you with a quote which actually made me laugh out loud! Grab a copy and see what you think :)

“It was her, the crazy sex pervert next door. She wanted me to shove things up her ass.”

***REVIEW*** Hear Through My Ears by Tara Chevrestt

Hear Through My Ears is a motivational story of a young woman, Tara, who faces the challenges of growing up "hearing impaired" in a hearing world. Follow her stories as she recounts everything from childhood bullies to work related restrictions and funny misunderstandings from mispronounced words to fear of Federal Air Marshals. In this tale, straight from the heart, hear through her ears and find out what it's like to face adversity and rise above it.

I received a copy of the this as a gift from Tara, I was really looking forward to reading it.

This book concentrates on stories from Taras past, things and people she's unfortunately had to encounter in her life, and others she had been fortunate to meet.

There was one story which got me, in a good way, and that was the man in the store who came up to Taras father with a piece of paper explaining 'I am deaf. I am looking for (name of item). Can you help me?' Such a brave thing, and Tara explains how she has always remembered the braveness of this man, to ask a total stranger for help like this, when he could have asked a store assistant.

A Story which riled me, and really got my goat, was Mr Flamboyant Sprayer, the manager at the store Tara got a job at. I couldn't believe when reading it, that he would stoop so low as to move Tara into the basement just because she couldn't answer the telephone!

The discrimination people endure is unreal, in this day and age, all disabilities should be made aware of, no one should be made fun of. I understand this. My 2 children are Autistic, and the looks, and yes unfortunately some of the comments, we've had are disgusting. I'm not talking about the general population here, there is always going to be someone who looks over while my child is having one of his major meltdowns, and they will probably smile a sympathetic smile, thinking he is just being a normal toddler, kicking off because he isn't getting the chocolate bar he wants. This, with me, is fine. People can't see my childrens disabilities. But the couple of men who pointed at us and laughed that day when my child was extremely upset due to sensory issues in a store, there is absolutely no need for people like that. Or the lady in a certain baby shop, who told us that the pushchair was safe, and even though my child could touch the floor whilst strapped in (as the straps were pretty much crap), told us it was my childs fault for being unreasonable, and not sitting still in the pushchair, therefore she must have a behaviour problem! I was furious!

So reading this book, and being there with Tara as she recounts the bad and the good stories of her past, all to do with her hearing loss, I was moved. I hope things have changed now, and people and places are more accommodating to the non-hearing community, and that people will read her story, and realise she can do anything just as well as anyone else!

Have you ever read a book....

...You wished you hadn't read yet, just so you could read it for the first time again?

I have!

I was thinking about this the other day and I really wish I hadn't of already read 'The Road' by Cormac McCarthy.

This book for me, was amazing. The pure emotion that ran through me while reading this book (it was done in a day) was massive. I remember after reading the book, feeling so sad.The story is a very sad story, but amazing all the same. It's so powerful, that everyone who asks me about it, I tell them it is a book that will stay with them long after reading it.

I will re-read it soon, but I don't think it will give the same power as it does in the first read.

If you haven't already read it, get your hands on it and give it a go, I promise you will be overwhelmed by it. It's a fantastically written book, full of power, love and sadness.

*** Review *** Hot Redemption by KD Penn

Epic and his brothers don’t rob strip clubs for fun or fame, but to use the electric currency to take care of their family. With androids and robots flooding the job market, it’s almost impossible for humans to find work. Besides, stealing comes easy to the gang, until Phoenix steps into their lives, snatching away their bounty and fogging up Epic’s mind with her seductive scent.

Shots blare. A chase ensues. Both sides refuse to yield. And the small compromise that comes is brought by chains and a promise for a bigger hit—on a planet far away from earth.

Can Epic and Phoenix work together to rescue themselves from poverty?

Or will they find another type of redemption, one lathered in lust and warmth, pleasure, and the type of undemanding love that no human can live without?

I received this book from the Authors in return for an honest review. It's actually a beta copy as the book is not out yet :) I was extremely happy to say yes. And boy am I glad I did!

I really wasn't sure about this as I'm not a great fan of supernatural/ futuristic novels, but this has totally changed my mind. I think I have fallen in love too :D Epic the main character is bloody well fantastic, and sounds damn well sexy too. I love love love him! He totally drew me into the story, and oh how I wish he'd throw me over the front of his hovercraft scooter ;)

The story concentrates on Epic and Nix, and Epics family. Epic and his brothers pull off heists in strip clubs, and are planning thir biggest heist yet. When they pull in Nix along the way (she's a dancer at a strip club), things go from business to more, as their relationship bobs up and down, and all over the place.

Epic is an amazing thing, he has artificial eyes which allow him ot do all sorts of stuff like take snapshot pictures of things and store them, and even use his eyes as lights! In my head, Epic is fan-freakin-tastic, and I totally fell for him, big time. He is the whole reason I was so into this story.

Nix is a lady who knows what she wants, and will stop at nothing until she gets it! I like this type of woman. She's feisty, and sexy.

And those sex scenes were fantastic. I've already mentioned the hover craft business, but there are plenty of other scenes in there that are enough to drive you crazy! A totally hot read :)

I don't want to give any spoilers away (you really need to read this book!), but lets just say things are a bit crazy during their big heist.

An amazing book from KD Penn (Kenya Wright, D.T Dyllin) I think these 2 women have done great with this story, and I hope you all graba a copy too :)

Oh, and a couple of final words... Penal beading! :O *shudders*

Whats your favourite recipe?

Hiya folks :)

Today I thought I'd do a recipe post as I have nothing else to post today!

Here's my favourite recipe, I had this yesterday :) This picture does not do it justice!

Ham and Mushroom tomato pasta

  • 1/2 a 400g tin of Tomato Soup
  • 4 medium mushrooms sliced
  • 2 big slices of ham sliced into strips or squares
  • 30g cubed cheese (any you want)
  • 125g Tagliatelle Pasta

Fry the mushrooms and ham in a little oil until they brown, then add the Tomato Soup, and simmer. Once the soup is hot, add the cheese and stir until the cheese is melted and the soup turns to a nice thick sauce.

Meanwhile, cook your pasta according to the packet instructions (fresh is better, about 3-4 minuites cooking time). Once thats done, throw it in the pan with your sauce and mix well.

Serve, sit down, and enjoy :)

Can either of them let down their guards long enough to take a chance on love?

Excerpt *Warning: Contains Adult Only Content*
Rain soaked Mia’s fur as she bounded through the woods bordering the Olcan Hills, relishing every inch of earth mashed beneath her claws. Trees became nothing more than a blur as she raced by, running to find her release out here where she answered to no one but nature. This was freedom.
When she reached the top of the hill she came to a standstill and released her primal scream of frustration in a howl, unleashing everything she couldn’t say to her overbearing family, pouring every hidden truth of who she really was into one long mournful call.
In the distance, another wolf echoed her cry and answered with one of his own. This was the reason her mother despised her shifting into her wolf form. She went kind of crazy and forgot all sense of danger in the excitement. Exactly the reason why she did it in secret. And now, here she was, totally exposed in the Northern Irish countryside, crouched and listening out for the intruder’s approach.
Snapping twigs and rustling leaves marked his stealthy journey towards her but she stood her ground, regardless of how loudly her heart was beating in her ears. The wind carried his scent and raised the hackles along her spine when she sniffed the air. Another shifter, but one she didn’t recognise. Big bro would use her pelt for a rug if he found out she’d strayed beyond the boundary.
Amber eyes glowed in the dark shadows as the large grey wolf stalked through the forest. She bowed in submission. Even if she had a clue how to fight, he was double her size and twice as powerful. He growled a low warning and sniffed her with interest, his wet nose nudging her clammy fur. Did he expect her to roll over and show her belly? Pride wouldn’t let her, but she was careful not to make eye contact as he circled around her twice in case he took it as a challenge.
She only lifted her head when she saw him pad away, heading back to the cover of the trees. He stopped, looked back at her, and cocked his head to one side. When she didn’t move he returned and nipped her ear. She yelped in surprise and indignation. Of all the nerve!
The rules of engagement were abandoned in the heat of her outrage and, in a snarling frenzy, she launched herself at him. For an animal so large, the grey wolf moved gracefully, dodging her attack to race ahead and leaving Mia in dogged pursuit.
Tree branches tore at her skin as she ploughed heedlessly into the woodland, but the pain dulled in the exhilaration of the chase. As they wove their way through the undergrowth, Mia’s anger subsided to let her long-neglected sense of fun take over.
He wanted her to follow him. She knew that from the glances he kept throwing back at her. So she stopped and slipped quietly behind the stump of an uprooted oak, waiting to see what he would do. White wisps of steam escaped from her nostrils as she fought to get her breath back and suddenly the area seemed too quiet.
With a thud Grey leapt onto the tree stump, and leant back onto his haunches ready to pounce. Mia took off again and this time she was the hunted. She didn’t get very far before he sprang and knocked her off her feet.
In a tangle of limbs they rolled through the leafy debris of the forest floor, shifting into their human form as they came to rest, with her pinned to the ground by a hard, muscular, naked body.
"Well, that was fun." He grinned down at her, making no attempt to get off her, his green eyes full of mischief.
"If you say so." Mia’s heart still raced but she was at enough of a disadvantage wedged underneath him without admitting she enjoyed the capture as much as the chase.
"I didn’t hurt you, did I?" He bent his head to kiss the scratches marking her shoulder and suddenly the only ache she felt was hidden deep inside.
"No." She swallowed hard as he ventured closer to her already puckered nipples.
"Do you want me to stop?" His hot breath on her sensitive skin engulfed her in a tide of hormones she hadn’t been ruled by in a long time, if ever.
Maybe a piece of her wolf was still in her system, thriving on the excitement and danger, but she was horny, and ripe for the picking. "No."
With a need to touch, to taste this handsome stranger on her tongue, she manoeuvred enough room to free her hands and wind them into his dark blond hair, pulling him down into a kiss.
He massaged her breasts, first with his hand, quickly followed by his mouth. The sucking and licking around her straining pink tips made her arousal too great to bear. She writhed against him, wet and waiting, but he let her suffer further still whilst he covered her mounds in tiny, exquisite bites.
Bewitched by the woods and her fantasy lover, she swapped the dull reality of her life for this moment, cavorting like the sort of woodland nymph she longed to be. Someone who lived without fear of consequences or judgement.
She wanted him. Prim and proper Mia Blake, who never stepped out of line, was lying naked in the woods with a stranger’s erection pressing into her abdomen, and she loved it. A restlessness seized hold as her body cried out with need. Her limbs trembled, her fingers and toes curled, waiting for that final act of completion. As dusk settled around them and an ethereal fog swirled between the trees, she lost herself in the erotic dream and let him sink into her.

Available from Total-E-Bound on Friday! :) But you can pre-order it today!

*** REVIEW *** Crossing Life Lines by Rachel Dove

CAUTION! POSSIBLE SPOILERS!

Ever woken up and thought about what might have been, or what still could? Cady Stokes is 29, and suddenly thrust into a new life, one she never expected, but was the old life really good for her? Georgina Elliott is steadfastly single, career minded to the end, till she meets Ben on a work assignment. Richard is dealing with a major life change too; can he make amends for his past? Once some life lines are crossed, they cannot be undone...and would you want to if you could? This is Rachel Dove's debut novel, dealing with life, love, loss and all the moments inbetween.

I recieved this book from Rachel in return for an honest review on my blog :) Of course, you know me, I accepted!

I actually rather enjoyed this story. A lovely little romance story I would say. I liked the character of Cady, and the first scene in where she shouts at her mother-in-law whilst at her husbands wake, was the moment I realised I really liked her :) There were funny parts (Richards spirit throwing things around the room), sad parts (Richard finally finding the peace he needed), and romantic parts (Cady and Luke :D).

Richard, hmmm, well what can you think really about a man killed while leavnig his wife for someone else? Well at first I didn't like himn one bit! But as the story moves on, and towards the end, I did feel sorry for him, and kind of liked him a bit.

The other characters were ok. Georgina was nice, a kind person and a good friend. And come the end I was very happy for her. Luke was a sweetheart, and I'm glad he found what he was looking for. The painting was touching. Ben was an ass-hole! That is all :)

There were 2 minor characters I liked, and could read more about them, Magda and Gerty. I could picture these 2 so vividly, and would love to hear more about them.

All in all this was a pretty good story, and considering it was a debut novel from Rachel, yes I'd definately read another of hers :) And I hear she has another coming out soon anyway so I'm looking forward to that one!

The Easter Holidays are almost over! :)

The Easter holidays are almost over, and on Monday we can get back to some kind of normality :) The kids will be back at school, I Will get a couple of hours peace each morning to watch a little TV or read.

The Easter holidays haven't exactly been fun for us this time. The first day off my little Jack was up all night vomiting. The next night so was my Chloe, and me, and OH! Wonderful eh?! We had all caught Norovirus. Luckily for Jack it passed him quickly, he was right as rain again after 2 days. Me and Oh, maybe 3/4 days before we were eating again. But Chloe, a week before she ate anything. She was so ill bless her.

Anyway, first week over, and everyone feeling a little better, so we went for a day out at the coast. Big mistake!! It was freezing for a start, so we went into the Aquarium. Paid £4.50 for the kids dinner (which they didn't eat), then paid £35 to get into the aquarium, which Jack didn't like (think it was something to do with his sensory issues), so me and him left, only for Oh and Chloe to come out 5 minutes after us anyway as they'd been through the whole thing! £35 for 15 minutes! Then, ice cream for the kids (£1.70 each!!), which again Jack didn't like so it went in the bin!

A couple of days later, Jack got slap cheek. :( I was like 'AAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!! Will this illness never end!!!!!!!!' Then I caught a cold and have been snotty and coughing ever since :/

Today Chloe has a party to attend, and tomorrow another one (her social life is better than mine I tell you!), then back to school Monday morning! I'm sure I'll be there bright and early with the other parents, banging on the gates to let us in ;)

Hope everyone else has had a nice Easter break!

Tattoo Dream by Em Petrova
A husband, wife, and the waitress of their fantasies share an explosive night of passion. But can their hearts survive the heat?

Sascha and Van are happily married. Their successful tattoo parlor should be enough to keep their lives full and enriched, but they both sense a void that only a third in their marriage could fill. Sexy waitress Maggie seems to be just the one they've been looking for. At the risk of ruining their friendship with Maggie, the couple makes the move to get her into their tattoo chair with the hopes of getting her in their bed.

Wow! This is one hot story ;)
I read this in one sitting, its a short book, but a great one at that!
This is the story of Van, Sascha and Maggie, and their very sexy journey into a relationship together! Sascha and Van have their own tatoo sho, adn after Maggie asks if she can pop in after work one night, they close up early, so they can be alone together ;)

The characters were very likable in this story,  and the amazing menage scene was well..... so hot and damn well fantastic! I don't want to go into too much detail as of not to spoil the story for anyone who hasn't read it, but sex toys, m/f, m/f/f, f/f scenes. And boy is it worth a read!!

Salad or sandwich? Salad, as long as it's a good one.
Macdonalds or Burger King? Neither these days - I don't think our UK versions are anything like yours. Thats a shame

*** REVIEW *** Good Enough to Trust by Zara Stoneley

An erotic romance, including menage, M/F/M and sex outdoors.

Do you trust the boy you loved, or the man you might?

Sophie has only one thing on her New Year’s resolution list – sorting out her life.

Losing her parents was hard, blaming herself hurt more – but was it really her fault, or was accepting the guilt easier than facing up to the truth?

Retracing her steps was never going to be easy, risking her heart again is even harder - and when there's two men to choose from will it be easier to trust the man she's never stopped loving, or the one that might give her the new start she needs?

I received this book from Zara in return for an honest review on my blog :) After also receiving the first in the series from Zara (which you can find my review HERE), I was more than happy to review the second!

I really liked it! I know Zara had said she worries with each book she brings out, in case people don't like it, but she has no need to worry, this series is great and I'm hoping she will bring out number 3 at some point!

Good enough to trust is book 2 in the series, and this one concentrates on Sophie.  You find stuff out about Sophie in book 1, so I was glad this one was about her.

Sophie heads back to a place she has been before, to try to figure out what she needs and wants. She bumps into a lovely farmer, Will, who she quickly trusts, and has a lot of fun with! Well, not just Will, his brother turns up there somewhere, and an old flame Ollie at another point too! ;)

The story really moves on and you find out a lot of things about Sophies past, and Ollies. You really feel for Sophie when you get to the end of the story, but I will let you guys read that for yourselves!

The sex scenes, as always, were great, a lot of menage going on there, which was fab!

So if you like a good story, some great sex, and want to find out about Sophie and Ollies pasts, please get hold of this book and give it a go, I can assure you, you will not be disappointed!

27 Hot Flashes from some great authors! :)

There's not really much I can say about this book. Not because it was bad, quite the opposite infact! But if I say too much, you'll know the whole story of each 'Flash', as they literally are what they say they are, 'Flashes'. Each story is roughly no longer than 5 kindle pages long. Great idea for short journeys when you want a quick fix from your favourite authors ;)
