***REVIEW*** Filthy by Megan D Martin

Faye Turner is a nineteen-year-old homeless prostitute addicted to cocaine.

Her life is simple, bouncing from one high to the next, bent over greasy truck seats for faceless men. But everything changes when Rhett Hale comes back into her life. Her devilishly handsome step-brother brings life-changing news and a special kind of hate reserved only for Faye. But all the hate in the world can’t hide Rhett’s lust for her.

He wants something wild. Something filthy.

And Faye is tempted to give him just that.

***Filthy is a dark erotic serial novel that will release monthly in segments of around 50 pages each. This book is not for those who like a traditional heroine. Faye and Rhett's story is dark, complicated, and twisted with themes that are not acceptable to all readers. Read at your own risk.***

I received a copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review. Here goes:

So we all know I love +Megan D. Martin  books, so I was pretty excited when I heard about this new novella series, and even more excited when my copy popped up in my inbox! It's a short book and was read in one sitting, just over an hour (I had to keep stopping for my kids lol).

I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this being such a short book, but seeing the first line read 'Fuck, take it you little slut', I was rather eager to read more! The book is about a young girl of 19, Faye, who ran away from home and ended up making her living on the streets. Her step brother finds her, 3 years later, and takes her home with bad news. Even though Faye doesn't want to be there, the attraction to Rhett is back with a vengeance and it seems she will do anything she can to get her step brother into bed!!!

Now I know this is a bit of a taboo subject, BUT.... they are not related! And to be fair, it's legal lol. Not my cup of tea but it made for a heck of a good story!

I quite liked Faye, she has sass! She seems to be very grown u for her age, well I suppose she has to be in her line of business. But there is something sad hidden away in her memories, I can tell. Hopefully more will be revealed i the next installment!!

REVIEW

I received a copy of this book from the author in return for signing up to her book tour. And in return for an honest review of course :)

Night Fury is a short Novella, the first in the Night Fury Series. It didn't take me long to zoom my way through it. I was pulled in massively. After reading Belle Aurora's RAW a while back and aboslutly falling in lvoe with it, I was pretty excited to see that she had another book ciming out (although still a dark book, it has nothing to do with RAW), therefore I was eager to get my mits into it.

Night Fury is different from nything I've ever read before. Caterina (or Cat), is the main character in the story. Cat lives in a convent, with Father Bob, who has pretty much raised Cat since she was orphaned as a baby. There are others there, nuns too, but nobody see's what goes on behind the doors, and behind the masks of the nuns and father Bob.

There is love, and of course some brilliant sex, happiness, and of course some tears. What  a great start to a series, looking forward to the second installment.

Teaser
"I trail her down the dark, dimly-lit hall. The sounds of our footsteps echo through the narrow space. I’m walking towards my destiny. How poetic. We reach the end of the hall. Frankie clicks in her keypad code. More humming and buzzing, the steel door clicks opens and finally – finally – I’m home. I take the first step towards the rest of my life. And I do it wearing a shit-eating grin. This is exciting. I’m excited. My life will be thrown one-hundred-and-eighty degrees. From boring to extraordinary. I can’t wait. “Welcome back to Mirage.” Frankie utters as she starts her descent down the stairs to the ground floor." - Catarina, Night Fury

***REVIEW*** Vodka Warrior by Mickey J Corrigan

Vodka Warrior by Mickey J Corrigan

Her life's as dull as light beer until the body god moves in next door; then she goes for the hard stuff.

Theresa Tierney is a lonely divorcee who lives in a ranch house in Golden Date Palms, a tacky development in Dusky Beach, Florida. An educated hick who likes her drink, she's lost her teaching job due to some questionable personal choices.

Next door to Theresa, eighty year old Oscar lives in a rental house. When Oscar's new roommate arrives, a good-looking body god, Theresa is both curious and disgusted. A brash New Yorker, Vario says what he's thinking and looks sexy as hell doing it. The brawny mountain of pumped muscle is mega alpha male.

Vario invites his friends from a local strip club to party in his backyard hot tub. This makes Theresa angry. In fact, Vario continuously makes Theresa feel and do things she wasn't expecting.

A rollercoaster ride of screw-ups, lust and love makes this sexy little story a fun read.

I received a copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review.

After reading Mickey's first in 'The Hard Stuff' series and enjoying it, I couldn't turn down the second book, and I'm glad I didnt. A great novella, not a very long read.

When the very sexy 'bod God' as Theresa calls him, moves in as a roommate next door, he and Theresa don't exactly hit it off. In fact, she thinks he hates her! He's a pretty hot gym instructor, who seems to love playboy bunnies and hot rub parties.

I quite liked Theresa, she just seemed like she'd hit a hard patch that she couldn't get out of. At first Vario seemed a bit if a pain in the arse to be honest lol! But I kinda liked his sass, and yeah I did like his character by the end.

I didn't feel any chemistry between the two though, although you could tell hiw he made Theresa feel when he was around her!

A rather good little novella, and I really liked the ending.

***REVIEW*** Whiskey Sour Noir by Mickey J Corrigan

Whiskey Sour Noir by Mickey J Corrigan

Tami Lee Conkers knows her own mind, and she knows she has gotten herself into trouble by falling for the handsome, well-educated Cat Avery.  She knows better, as the man is a registered sex offender who has served his time and now tends bar, but she believes his claim of innocence.
Having lost everything–career, family, home and reputation–Cat thinks he has figured out who set him up for the crime he didn't commit. He is determined to seek revenge.  All around him, life is going from bad to worse until Tami Lee comes a callin'.  Without Tami's help, Cat's life is over.
As the world spins out of control around them, can Tami justify leaving her life behind for this troubled man?

I grabbed this book when it was free on kindle, the blurb seemed interesting, and Mickey visited my blog a little while ago and chatted about it.

Its a short novella with a taboo subject behind the story.
Tami-Lee meets the new bartender in her littls home town, and what a sight Mr Cat Avery is! But we soon find out that Cat has recently been released after being arrested for having child pornographic photos on his work computer. He swears he waa set up, but being labelled a SO (sex offender), will people believe him? And is he telling the truth?

Well Tami-Lee will soon find out as they end up in bed together, and soon he moves into her motel room with her.

I liked both characters in the story. Tami-Lee is a bit of an...erm...tart shall we say? She is known as rhe girl who flirts and sleeps around. But after meeting Cat you see a softer side to her (kind of) as ahe starts to really fall for him. Cat was rather sexy, and quite friendly too.

A nice little novella, I'd definitely read more of Mickey's stories.

***REVIEW*** The Babysitter by Kenya Wright

The Babysitter By Kenya Wright

"In my guest room, Blake caresses my neck and surrounds me with his scent, a haunting mixture of rosemary and lavender, so subtle, yet sure to sink into my sheets, so that I can smell him minutes after he leaves and goes to his sleeping wife."

Paige has a problem. She's in love with her married boss, Blake, the father of two kids that she watches. After his wife left him for another man, he hired on Paige as a live-in babysitter. For a year she not only got his household back in order, but helped heal the family's broken hearts.

But, now things have changed.

Before Paige can confess her feelings to Blake, his wife returns. She wants to repair their marriage. Blake thinks it would be good for the kids, but Paige doesn't believe his wife deserves forgiveness and she's tired of hanging in the shadows as the love of her life slips away.

No. Things have definitely changed and Paige is tired of being the good little babysitter. It's time to be very naughty, so wicked that Blake's length stirs in his pants when she strolls by him in thin sun dresses that taunt his view and make his throat go dry from heated lust pumping blood to his veins.

Can Blake stay loyal to his wife and kids or does he find himself in the babysitter's sensual grasp, spiraling down into all-consuming passion?

The Babysitter is an erotic novella at 15,000 words

I bought this book as I saw it reviewed on a friends website, and knew I'd enjoy it. I was pulled in right from the start, and didn't want to put it down. It being a novella, I finished it in 2 short sittings.

Right, I know what people are going to say, 'but the guys married!!!', I know he is. But.... when you read the book, and realize their first encounter was when he and his wife had split up, you kinda feel really sorry for the 2 main characters, Blake and Paige. Blakes wife returns after a year or so of being gone, and decides she wants to try and save their marriage. But is this enough for Blake? Yes he has his kids to think of, which is why he welcomed his wife back into their home, but he has been without her for over a year, and has started to like Paige.

It's a sexy story with some hot scenes, but I thought it was also rather sad. I felt sorryfor Paige loving a man she knew she would probably never have. I felt so sorry for Blake, knowing his wife had left him for another man, he has got on with his life and brought his kids up alone (well with the help of Paige as a live in babysitter), but now the wife thinks she can just stroll back in and all will be forgotten? Well my friends, read this story and see what happens. The last scene in the story is a good one ;)
