Here's my story, which I wrote a while ago as part of Thurs Threads. It was in 2 parts, but I've mashed them together as they were part of the same storyline.

1960 – London

Katherine had been feeling so different lately, tired and heavy. She was sure she knew why. She didn't need a doctor to confirm it, she knew she was with child. Marcus would be thrilled. He'd always wanted lots of children, and now their dream was beginning.

Marcus was working on his car. Something made him top and look up. He couldn't see anyone, but he could sense them near, and the smell was unmistakable... another shifter was close by. He put down his tools, and crept around the garage. They had to be near, the smell was so strong. He turned the corner and felt a blow against the back of his head. He fell to the ground.

'Marcus, it's been so long. Where is my wife?' the man grinned.

'Greol you piece of shit, she's my wife now, not yours'.

Another blow rained down, this time knocking him unconscious. When he woke up he was chained to a wall, spread eagled so he couldn't move.

'Ah you're awake my friend' came Greol's voice. 'See the little gift I have brought you?'

Marcus looked up, and saw his wife, hanging from the opposite wall. She was covered in bruises, and there was huge pool of blood beneath her. Greol took his knife and cut a big incision into Katherine's stomach.

'What have you done?!', Marcus screamed. 'Leave her alone you deranged psychopath!'

'Hush now friend' came Greols reply. 'That wasn't really the worst of it'.

2010 - London

It had been over 50 years since that fateful day, but Marcus hadn't forgotten, and to him it still seemed like only days ago.

He sat in the shadows, his pocket knife carving a piece of wood, chipping away at it just to pass the time. When would he be here? Three hours had passed and nothing. Nothing? It was too quiet around here, something was definitely going on. Marcus quietly tiptoed backwards, and crouched. He felt himself changing into his other self, other being. It didn't hurt, but to someone watching, it would look like it did. His back arched, his nails grew, his fangs appeared, hair sprouted everywhere. He ripped through the clothes he had on, leaving them in shreds.

There was a noise to the left of him, the sound of a struggle, then something was thrown from the bushes and landed in a heap infront of him. 'Greol', Marcus whispered, when he realised the man he had been waiting for was here. 'It's been 50 years too long'. Another wolf jumped out from the bushes and stood over Greol's limp body, ready to attack.

'Leave it alone', Marcus grinned. 'This ones mine'.

If you like scary stories, there are some amazing horror writers out there, and one of my favourites is Stephen King. So I am giving away my unread paperback copy of Misery to one lucky commenter (sorry, but it is UK only). Just follow the instructions in the Rafflecopter below!

*** REVIEW *** UR by Stephen King

WARNING! THERE COULD BE SPOILERS IN ANY OF MY REVIEWS... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!

UR by Stephen King

As quickly as a spider spins its web, King reminds us why he's the master of the novella - a format which, up until now that is, one might have thought is fast disappearing. In his new novella, UR, King is at his unsettling best as he examines the future of the written word - for better or worse. Following a nasty break-up, lovelorn college English instructor Wesley Smith can't seem to get his ex-girlfriend's parting shot out of his head: "Why can't you just read off the computer like the rest of us?" Egged on by her question and piqued by a student's suggestion, Wesley places an order for Amazon.com's Kindle eReader. The [pink?] device that arrives in a box stamped with the smile logo -via one-day delivery that he hadn't requested - unlocks a literary world that even the most avid of book lovers could never imagine. But once the door is open, there are those things that one hopes we'll never read or live through. Firm, gripping, and deftly written by a craftsman at the top of his game, this is King at his crisp, clear, page-turning best.

I read this book over a couple of days. It's a nice short story from Stephen King, and again it has spurred me on to read more of his work. I have so far read only a few of Mr Kings novels, those being The Green Mile (my favourite book ever!), Hearts in Atlantis (my first Stephen King book read), and In The Tall Grass (another short).

I was happy to see things in this book that were linked to his other books, such as the references to The Tower, references to JFK's assassinations (which is what 11.22.63 is about), and my favourite reference.... the low men in yellow coats (which is from Hearts in Atlantis) :)

The story in Ur was quite addictive, I found myself this morning reading the last 60% of the book as I was really intrigues as to where this was all going. The pink Kindle... that didn't come from Amazon... that lets you buy books that aren't from Amazon, but some other alternate universe where authors didn't pass away for years after they really did, and they wrote more novels! Sounds like a good one! But... it can tell the future too?!?! Yeah, I'm glad my Kindle is black :)

Wes orders a kindle but receives this pink one instead, and find the Ur program on there, which lets you download books from another universe. He finds plenty of books from authors that passed away, but in this alternate universe they lived a few more years, and wrote more novels.

It was kinda cool to think of things like this happening, but when it got the the UR LOCAL program which let you read news headlines from the future, it got a bit freaky!

If you haven't read any King before, this one is cheap and short on the kindle (haha), so yeah I'd recommend you read it. And I'm sure all the King fans out there will enjoy it too!

Free online short read, by me :)

Hi guys!

Today I wanted to post a short story (only 602 words), and share with you. It's called Mile High, and the characters unexpectadly burst into my head yesterday afternoon. Hope you enjoy :D

Mile High
Was she mad? She didn't do things like this! Would he even come? Perhaps the fact she was so excited about eventually getting away on holiday for 2 weeks alone, had sent her a little crazy! Yes, that had to be why. She would never in a million years have enough courage to do something like this. But that guy was damn hot. And he had been looking at her for the last hour on the plane, smiling, staring, winking. She hadn't been laid in a while, a long while actually, but surely that shouldn't have made her insides burn like they were on fire when he smiled at her. How she plucked the courage up to write that note and drop it on his lap, she would never know! Now she was regretting it. 'Toilet, 2 minutes, meet me' the note had read. But now she was having second thoughts. 'Never mind' she thought, as she bottled it, and unlocked the door hurridly.

She opened the door to go back to her seat, and felt two hands push her back in. She almost screamed out 'What the fuck!' until lips came crashing down on hers. Someone pushed her way back against the wall, and locked the door again behind him. She could taste the whiskey on his tongue, as it danced around with hers. His hand made its way up her leg, under her skirt. She lifted her leg up to give him better access, as he moved towards her panties. With their bodies pushed up against the wall like this, there wasn't much room left, but she was sure they'd make do. Her hands were wrapped around his neck, one of his on her thigh, the other on her face. She groaned as he reached under her panties and in one smooth move, ripped them clean off. She could feel the moisture dripping down her thighs. His fingers rubbed against her sensitive button, she gasped as he lifted her on to the sink. As he played with he clit she unbottoned his trousers, eager to see what he was hiding inside.

She wasn't dissapointed when she pulled at his boxers, and his cock sprung free. It was big, bigger than any she'd had before, and looked so enticing, glistening with pre cum. She could feel herself nearing climax as he played with her now throbbing nub. He stopped and reached into his back pocket, the rip of foil unmistakable, his cock now fully sheathed. She edged her ass forwards, and wrapped her legs around his waist. She stared right into his piercing blue eyes, and impaled herself on his cock. He thrust so deep she saw stars. The pace quickened, her clit rubbing on his skin, each thrust brought her closer and closer. Faster and faster they moved together, in perfect rhythem. She could no longer hold it, and let out the biggest moan, as her body gave in and soared over the edge. Her muscles tightened so quickly, he came within seconds. Groaning in her ear, pulling her in tighter, he spilled himself in her. After sitting like that for what seemed forever, but was possibly only a couple of minutes at the most, he pulled out, pulled his trousers back up. She carefully climbed down from the sink, her panties were destroyed, so she threw them in the bin. They looked at each other and smiled, heat flushed in both of their faces, evidence of what had just happened.
'I'm Katie', she smiled
'I'm Michael, so you're staying in Malibu for 2 weeks too?' he grinned.

A short 'Flash' for you all

Dont' worry, you can uncover your eyes, I'm not going to flash myself at you! ;p

But I do have a short flash story to show you all. Hope you like it!

The Servant

Esmerelda stood impatiently. She would be shunned for this, thrown out of the Castle by her parents, if they knew what she was doing...who she was doing. A slight noise down the hall made her jump. Was this her lover? Or was she to be caught, loitering in the servants passages. Footsteps... a door opening... more footsteps. As she tried to keep herself hidden in a doorway, a hand reached round the corner. The love of her life had came, as promised.

'I thought you weren't going to show'

'I wouldn't miss the chance to hold you my love. Quick, this way'.

The pair headed off through a door to the right, it lead to the servants quarters. To the left was her lovers bedroom, the room they were about to make love in. Esmeralda ducked through the doorway to the bedroom, and quickly dis-robed herself. She stood in front of her lover, naked, and in desperate need of touch.

'You look so beautiful Esmerelda, seeing you has been the only thing that has kept me going all day'.

And with that statement, Es reached up and gently slid her lovers top off, unclasped her bra, and very sweetly began to caress her breasts. This was the night she had been waiting for, Rachel was the love of her life, she was sure of it.

What did you think? Let me know :)

Short Story by me - The Bench Meet

I entered this short story into a competition, I didn't win.

The story was prompted by a picture. Since I can't use the picture, let me describe it. A snowy, winters day. There is a snow covered park bench, lots of trees sprayed with white, no one is around.

Here is my story, a short 297 words

The Bench Meet

For 57 years, George and Edna had sat on this bench. They had their first date here, George proposed marriage here, they brought their children here, and their Grandchildren.

And now they were here again. It was a cold winters day, and the bench was covered in snow, so they both had wrapped up in scarves, gloves, hats and warm winter coats. But the cold didn't bother them too much, they loved being here together. Every friday afternoon, Edna popped to the library, where she met some of her friends to discuss the latest book they'd all been reading. Well, what else did she have to keep her ocupied when George was watching his football! She loved reading, so why not have a book club with her friends. What was the point of reading an amazing book if you didn't tell people about it. After book club finished, George would aways meet Edna at their bench, half way between the library and home. If it was cold, George brought home madde hot chocolate in travel mugs to keep them warm, or if it was summer, Edna would buy a couple of milkshakes at the little stand on her way. They would chat about anything they could think of. Discuss family meetings that were coming up, chat about what Edna and her friends had been up to, or talk about how Georges favourite team had won or lost their game.

Yes this was their bench, their favourite spot. After a while, they got up, and walked hand in hand down the footprint covered winding park path.

The snow had melted from the seat now, and you could see the plaque that had been placed there.

'For George and Edna, this was their bench'

'RIP '

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed :)
